Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. CAN I PURCHASE A SINGLE TALLY (IF I BUY A KIT AND ONLY NEED ONE ADDITIONAL)?

A: No, unfortunately the PTZCam TALLY4 4-Camera Wireless Tally System for Blackmagic ATEM Switchers only comes with either 4 or 8 tallies included, and we do not carry the tallies on their own.

Q: 2. Has anyone checked the latency when the bridge is connected DIRECTLY to the Atem, and not via a switch?

A: The Blackmagic Design ATEM Streaming Bridge for ATEM Mini Pro Streaming Switchers, when used locally, will have a latency of about one second.

Q: 3. Can this be used with an ATEM mini pro?

A: No, the PTZCam TALLY4 4-Camera Wireless Tally System is only designed to work with the Switch N8 & Switchblade VMC12.

Q: 4. Can it receive a stream from a Constellation 1ME (using the USB webcam feature) or is it still only compatible w/ ISO + Pro?

A: The Blackmagic Design ATEM Streaming Bridge for ATEM Mini Pro Streaming Switchers is only compatible with the Atem Mini Pro and Atem Extreme switchers from Blackmagic.

Q: 5. Can I use the ATEM Mini Pro's Multi-view HDMI output for "Preview" and the ATEM Streaming bridge's output for "Program," or output to a downstream recorder?

A: You can use Preview on the HDMI. You can stream Program to the Streaming Bridge over Ethernet. You can record that video if you want. You can record the same video Via USB connected drive if you want.

Q: 6. is this compatable with the Tricaster TC2?

A: The PTZCam TALLY8 8-Camera Wireless Tally System is specifically made to work with the vMIX Switchblade Systems VMC12 and Switch N8.

Q: 7. Will this work with the Studio Pro HD?

A: No, that will not work.

Q: 8. What is the latency for internet streaming to the bridge?

A: The latency for internet streaming to the bridge Blackmagic Design ATEM Streaming Bridge for ATEM Mini Pro Streaming Switchers, can depend on the internet setup you are using. But an estimated to be around 1 second.

Q: 9. I haven't seen anything addressed on synchronizing delays. In one use case in the announcement "as a higher quality conference call." If there is a 1-2 second delay from an AMPro to my AMPro... if I were talking to the source in real time via.. Teamspeak or Unity, how would I delay my own feed to sync up with the incoming RTMP signal?

A: Right.. The delay is to be expected as we deal with it everyday for my job with RTMP, SRT, Zixi... etc. But the issue is, if you're bringing in another streamer's feed live and you wish to interact with the person/people on camera either side is waiting for the response. I was referring to Teamspeak or Unity as being the realtime proxy for you to have a fluid conversation, before the high-quality video arrives. It feels like there needs to be another device from BMD that would delay the local video to line up with the remote feed coming in on the bridge. The device would interface with the AtemMP and possibly even delay the switching (as some other cloud-based systems do [these send a webRTC proxy though]), so the high-quality feeds would be switched in time to each other (the AMPIso already records an XML of cut times, so the data is there already). Use case: Live production done between two influencers 3,000 miles away, high end cameras on either end both with AtemMPs, one sending their video/playback/gfx and streaming to the Bridge on the receiving-side. They're conversing, but the Bridge-Delay box is syncing up the two sides of the feed. It knows one side is 2 seconds delayed, so it delays the local input by 2 seconds, but cuts (tc/utc data) made on the final-side AtemMP are also delayed before final encode. I think I digress anyway, as I may have misunderstood the use of this bridge. The use case I'm thinking of needs a proxy however it's done. So a webRTC video call would need to be done in conjunction with this setup.

Q: 10. how do you live stream if you are using the HDMI out to feed a monitor? What is the purpose of the ethernet connection?

A: This takes the IP Feed through its Ethernet Port from an ATEM Mini Pro or ISO and turns that in to SDI and HDMI outputs. It works in the reverse.
