The Flex Plus 12" High Bright Teleprompter from Prompter People features a 60/35 beamsplitter glass, a 12" reversing monitor, and a sled base mount. The teleprompter supports nearly any camcorder, ranging from DSLR to ENG, or you can add a separately available iPad/tablet mount. The teleprompter comes with an aluminum extrusion frame, which enables mounting the camera on the prompter without requiring counterweights. Also included is a Freestand tripod stand kit to free-mount the teleprompter using a rapid adapter.

The backlit 12" monitor features built-in reversing, 400 cd/m² brightness, VGA, HDMI, and composite inputs, and it is readable from 6' away. A separately available keyboard allows you to type text into the downloadable TeleScroll prompting software for macOS or Windows. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what does the software come on?

A: The software comes on a CD.

Q: 2. Does the LCD monitor have an image flip option (vertical?)

A: Yes it does

Q: 3. Can you mount this prompter on a light stand?

A: I would highly recommend against using this Teleprompter on just a light stand. It weighs 10 pounds and its shape will make it difficult to remain stable. A tripod like B&H #DAPVT7518B from Davis & Sanford would be a far more suitable option.

Q: 4. My computer is HDMI Out and my monitor that I will use is HDMI so why do I need VGA at all?

A: You do not need to use VGA. This dongle is for the software that enables you to connect any monitor (HDMI, Displayport, VGA etc) and use it as a teleprompter. At the time we started carrying this dongle VGA monitors were extremely popular now that you have brought it to our attention we will update the listing.

Q: 5. I am concerned about the 12 screen being too small to use comfortably. My client will be 12' from the camera. Our studio Teleprompter is 17 and 4x3, but it is too hard to take in the field. Should I move up to the 15 ?

A: The 12 screen will be small to use from a 12' distance from the camera. A 15 looks more practical. ThanksSwami Bhajanananda.

Q: 6. Where can I purchase a power cord?

A: As of this time DJI is not offering a power cord for the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor (B&H# DJHBRM), but you can use this: Power2000 AC-F550 AC/DC Adapter with Sony L-Series Dummy Battery (B&H# POACF550) https://bhpho.to/3wlnZPu

Q: 7. Can you use the ikan ELITE-REMOTE Bluetooth iPad Teleprompter Remote OR ANY REMOTE with this or are controls only on the unit?

A: You can use the Elite Remote if you are using your IOS device to send the signal to the monitor

Q: 8. What is the brightness of this monitor? How many nits?

A: The brightness, according to ikan's website, is 350 cd/m2.

Q: 9. Will this work with the Black Magic Ursa Major?

A: Jeff, I don't have that exact model for us to test in-house, but I doubt it. The Ursa Major is quite large, so I doubt it would work well with this teleprompter.

Q: 10. If I want to use it outside, where I have no AC-Power. Is there any option to run it by a battery?

A: While Ikan does not make a cable that allows this Teleprompter to be powered by more traditional Video Production batteries, we do have some options for battery packs with an AC power connection that you could look into. The GOAL ZERO Yeti 150 Solar Generator Power Pack would be a good place to start.
