A: Yes, you should be able to mount the Tilta Hydra Alien Car Mounting System (V-Mount) to a helicopter, but I don't know how well it would stay on as road conditions are different than air conditions, and this mount is intended for use on the road.

Q: 3. Will this ram with the crane 3s? I saw the answer about the battery baseplate, but the crane 3s power supply is above the mounting point so it doesn’t need a power supply baseplate. As long as it mounts it should work, correct?

A: This is designed for the the DJi Ronin gimbals

A: The Tilta Hydra Alien Car Mounting System (V-Mount) is just a mounting solution. It does not include a gimbal with the kit. This system is compatible with the DJI RS2, RS3, RS3 Pro, RS4 Pro, Crane 3S, Ronin 4D and any other gimbal that can mount via 1/4″-20 screws and power via D-Tap or internally.

Q: 6. does the design of this rig make it difficult to mount the gimbal low to the ground? for example: with 1 cup connected low to the bumper and 2 cups connected to the flat/gently-curved part of the trunk/hood, it looks to me like the diagonally-mounted support strut might be easily blocked by the edge of the hood/trunk when trying to connect it from the vertical to the horizontal piece ~ does this make sense? thoughts?

A: There are a number of different ways to mount this support depending on the accessories that you would like to purchase with it and where you want to position it on the car. for example to get low angle shots it seems imperative that you purchase some single handed gimbal ( like the Ronin RS2). On the sides of the car it would be quite easy to get a low angle shot when mounted to the car door on the front or back of the car it seems as though it would be quite difficult. The design of the car will also affect how easy/difficult it is to get the shots that you want. for example in the photos they used a BMW Sedan which poses a challenge when mounting this rig to the rear but if they were to swap that car for an SUV, or mini van then there would be a lot more surface area on the back of the car making it feasible to get a low angle shot from the back.

Q: 8. Why does the one picture with all the parts show more parts than you will receive? There are two gobo heads shown that are not listed in the "In the Box" section.

A: The Kit comes with two 2.5" grip heads attached to Ricky Rods and two loose 2.5" Quick Heads. The photo is correct, the "In The Box" is missing the two 2.5" grip heads.

A: The Proaim Hard Mount Kit for Steadicam–Type Arm has an Arm Socket pin of 16mm or 5/8". If your Stedicam G70 has the same pin size, then it will be perfectly compatible.
