A: The Brio has a threaded insert that allows you to mount it on any tripod camera screw. I have a 30 year old Bogen 3001 with a 3126 fluid motion mount I've used for video recording, a dynex dx-sw404 monopod, and a manfrotto mtpixi-rd. All of them will accept the Brio. The Manfrotto 128RC QR Micro Fluid Head is very much like mine and should fit the bill. B&H does sell it by the way.

If that is not possible, a green screen with good lighting will help a lot more but the webcam by itself won't improve that. What it will do is give you much better image quality than the built in webcam on 99% of laptops.
