Purchased to be a data disk for a new Windows 7 setup. Don't bother trying to get the Seagate DiscWizard to work (it never did for us). Windows 7 was fine for formatting. 5

Before I bought this, I would drive to the local computer/electrics store. But it's far more ideal to get my drives from B&H rather pay fuel and time. This drive is very affordable and I've had good success with 12 Seagate drives I've owned over the past 8 years. The drive is fast, well made and a great value. 5

I do edit many... many hours of video each year, so I need space ... and more space... For the price and specifications. It was the only choice. Till now . seagate did work without failure. I hope it will continue so, especially if I think of the many...many hours of the videos stored... 5

I've used other products, but have never found a more reliable and speedy hard drive than Seagate. I have a 500GB and a 1.5TB and they run just fine. This 2TB is a welcome addition. 5

I'm using this as a secondary drive with a primary Adata SX900 64GB SSD + Avant 32GB SSD Windows slave/Pagefile drive. If you're not forking the dough out for a hybrid SSD drive, these 64MB Barracudas are the drives to grab for backup/storage/large programs/media. This drive sustains 160MB/s transfer from my SSD's and I can backup my entire SSD drive in just a few minutes. I may add another for RAID 0 in the future to see if I can approach my SSD's 400+MB/s read speeds. Latency isn't anything special though, so this drive is better used as an SSD companion versus an OS drive. 5
