I use the product mostly for ventrilo chatting with friends, but also for some personal voice work. Honestly, this is an incredible microphone and it is definitely not meeting its full potential in my hands. I would recommend this to anyone. Just to clarify my con, it's heavy with the base, but it feels VERY solidly constructed. I think with a boom, it would be perfect, but I probably wouldn't carry it around due to the size/weight. 5

The sound quality, to my novice ears, sounds really good. I've been using it to record voiceovers. Very heavy, so I wouldn't travel with it. Great for desktop use. 5

At first, i didn't expect the mic to compete with the higher valued mic that I have run across. The ease of recording with this buy had me sold. The ability to change which mics record by turning the direction dial made it better than alot of mic that cost more than the Yeti. Also, it was difficult to find a mic that allowed you control the gain finally came to an end, AND YOU CAN CONTROL IT STRAIGHT FROM THE MIC ITSELF! Right now, I use the mic from recording vocals and instruments for my band, so far I haven't ran into any problems! 5

This was a gift for my teenage nephew. He says it is great and picked up his sister talking in her room when he was in his room. So, for serious recording, you need quiet or sound-proofing. 5

I bought this microphone to record songs with my friends. It's worked out great so far. I use it with Audacity. It's intuitive to use, and since it's a USB microphone, it doesn't use phantom power, which was a plus for me. There are four different recording settings, but if you leave it on default, it works fine, too. 5
