A: According to our tests, the Ronin-S can capture stabilized footage with a 5D Mk IV + EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM lens in handheld scenarios. Your described lens may be too front heavy, but it's hard to say without testing that setup specifically.

Q: 2. What is the distance the Mobile App (IOS) will work. I say documentation that said only 10M using bluetooth. This is very limited distance, does anyone know for sure if it is only 10M?

A: When controlled via the Ronin mobile app, the range is around 10 meters according to DJI.

Q: 3. Can you explain how are you connecting the bolt between the the Easyrig and the Ronin-S?

A: The 16x9 Kong Quick Release Adapter for Easyrig with 1/4"-20 Eyebolt is included with this kit to connect the Ronin-S to the EasyRig. As far as how the Ronin-S would be operated, it is our belief that you will need to use the gimbal in an inverted mode for it to work with the EasyRig.

A: Again not tested. However, DJI says Canon cameras and their lenses can be remotely controlled.

Q: 6. Will this support the GH5+metabones+sigma 18-35mm setup? I know this set-up is under 8lbs but it's very front heavy. Two other gimbals that I have tried should have been able to support its weight on paper, but couldn't in practice due to the front being too heavy.

A: Long lenses like the 18-35mm prevent balance because you cannot get the camera/lens back far enough. We feel that the same situation is here.

Q: 7. Camera Control via Included Cables for Lumix GH4 and GH5?

A: With the GH4 you will be able to start/stop recording video, and capture photo. The GH5/s will be able to start/stop recording video, and capture photo, pull focus (with supported lenses) and adjust camera parameters.

Q: 8. I see there is a remote follow focus module, but I can't tell if the motor is visible in the pictures. Is it the Y post that is attached to the base, or is that just to secure the lens?

A: The part connected to the lenses in these photos is the Lens Support. It is not the Follow Focus Module. We do not have the full details on all the accessories for this product yet, please keep an eye on this page though. As we get more information this page will be updated.
