Designed for cine-style image capture and covering up to full-frame size sensors that shoot up to 8K video, the white ARRI PL-mount 30mm T1.5 Cine Lens from IRIX incorporates multiple advanced internal and external design features. External features include a 95mm front outside diameter, 0.8 MOD gears, luminous focus marks in feet, and two locations to attach a 1/4"-20 support foot. Internally, the 11-blade iris produces a smooth, rounded bokeh, and five seals protect against inclement weather and dust.
To help eliminate aberrations and distortion, the IRIX 30mm T1.5 Cine Lens is constructed with an 11-blade iris, low focus breathing, and a protective nano-coating. This lens has 180° of focus and 75° of iris rotation, an 86mm front filter thread, and it includes front and rear caps.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Does it has a built in focal extender like the other canon servo zooms ?
A: No, the Canon Cine-Servo 17-120mm T2.95-3.9 Lens (Canon RF) does not have a built in extender.
Q: 2. Will a 4x4 filter cover this lens in full frame?
A: bonjour,ouiDaniel
Q: 3. Why are these Rokinon lenses costing almost 10x as much as the Canon mount versions?
A: That is a fair question. The difference between consumer and pro level cine style lenses comes down to functionality on set. In order that the exacting work of movie making be as efficient, reliable, and consistent as possible, there need to be certain design parameters. 1. Excellent resolution, color and contrast image quality that all lenses in the line match. This is so you can cut between them in editing and not waste time making sure each lens seamlessly has the same look.2. A big barrel is needed by the 1st Camera Assistant for precise focus control.3. A common size front diameter is desired so the matte box fits all of the lenses quickly, without fiddling with adapters. The placement of the gears on the lens must be in the same place so less time is used on set adjusting follow focus devices and remote motors for focus and iris. Finally, similar weight lenses mean less time balancing MoVI, Steadicam and other stabilizing devices.4. The DS line has 8 iris blades which is good for bokeh. The Xeen line has 11 blades which is better. All of these parameters cost money. As you go in the filmmaking world, you will see the benefits they provide.
Q: 4. Would this connect and work well with the Komodo X?
A: The Canon Cine-Servo 17-120mm T2.95-3.9 Lens (Canon RF) is compatible with the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO-X 6K Digital Cinema Camera (Canon RF), B&H # REKOMXB.
Q: 5. I know this lens is built for full-frame but I'm curious about the coverage if adapted to the Fuji GFX mount. Extreme vignette?
A: Full frame lenses like the Rokinon XEEN CF 50mm T1.5 Pro Cine Lens (EF Mount) would have a bad vignette when mounted to a medium format camera like the Fuji GFX, as the image will not full cover the sensor.
Q: 6. Do these lenses have a filter thread? If so, is it 95mm like the front diameter?
A: Unfortunately not. Filters will need to be mounted through a matte box.
Q: 7. Would this lens do well for milky way and star photography compared to the Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC Wide-Angle?
A: Hello JamesI have had direct experience filming and photographing in South America-Bolivia with 24mm lens Xeen is incredible image quality obtained with this lens, I recommend that the result beyond human vision.
Q: 8. I just purchased a XEEN CF 50MM T.15 Ef Mount for my Red Gemini 5k. However, the lens ins't recognized by the camera so I don't get access to Aperture on the monitor nor do I get my focal points. Any suggestions or recommendations?
A: This is a fully manual lens. It does not communicate electronically.
Q: 9. Does this lens need electronic communication with the camera to change F stop? Can I use this lens on an adapter without electronic contacts? The adapter has a Nikon F stop dial.
A: Yes. When using the IRIX 30mm f/1.4 Dragonfly Lens for Nikon F, there is no way to control the aperture ring manually and with manual adapters. The aperture of this lens is designed to be controlled electronically, so a manual adapter with an aperture dial would not work. To control the lens' aperture, you would need a lens adapter that allows you to electronically set the aperture on your camera.
Q: 10. Does this lens have a lot of distortion? And would it hit the mirror of a DSLR if the camera is converted to PL Mount?
A: The DZOFilm VESPID 12mm T2.8 Cine Lens (ARRI PL & Canon EF) does have some noticeable barrel distortion around the edges. I suggest viewing some images shot with the the lens to determine for yourself if the amount of distortion is a deal breaker for you or not. So long as the camera has a PL mount, you shouldn't have any problems using the PL mount of the DZOFilm VESPID 12mm T2.8 Cine Lens (ARRI PL & Canon EF).
