Q: 1. What side of the transparency should be printed on? Both sides feel identically smooth but there is a small notch in the corner which I assume is for orientation

A: when holding the paper in portrait mode the notch should be on the upper right hand corner & the side facing you is the side for printing. If you print on the other side the ink might just run so be careful.

A: The box you've selected will work, any binder that is larger in width than 10.5" will work.

Q: 3. Do you print with glossy or matte ink for negatives?

A: I use matte black on my Epson R3000. I use pictorico for digital negatives that are used to make contact prints.

Q: 4. Can this album hold photos smaller than 8 x 10, or will they slide around?

A: These pages can fit any size photo up to 8.5x11. However, a smaller size would slide around on these pages.

Q: 5. Can this be used in a laserjet printer?

A: Don't use in laserjet! It is not made to withstand the heat, but more importantly, it is so much more expensive than film made for laserjet printers. Go to an office supply store and buy avery or 3M film made specifically for laser printers or photocopiers (can be used interchangeably).

A: The largest size that the Lineco Boxbinder - 12.25 x 11.75 x 2" - Tan 2" will hold is a 10 x 11" page.

A: Yes, there is a spine cover. I have 52 pages in one of my albums and there is room for more. I have nine of these albums and I love them. I started a new album only because of the weight of the album with the 52 pages and pictures.
