Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How well does it fit the ATR2500 USB? Is there a hole for the Headphone output and volume buttons?

A: The ATT2500 fits the sub good . No there is no hole for the headphones output

Q: 2. How does this sound in an untreated room? Is it something I can correct in post, assuming the ambient noise isn't too great.

A: The Lewitt LCT 440 PURE Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone can be used in an untreated room, but results can vary depending on what type of audio is being recorded. Since the mic has a cardioid pattern, it will pick up sound from directly in front while rejecting ambient sounds from the back and sides. What you could do to isolate the mic and keep out any potential background noise is use a reflection filter like the Auray RF-5P-R Five-Panel Reflection Filter (B&H # AURF5PR), which has adjustable panels and can be used on a straight stand or placed on a tabletop. This setup should provide very good results.

A compatible model is the On-Stage MY430 Shock Mount for Select Studio Microphones (B&H # ONMY430) which is designed to fit mics that have a diameter of 55 to 60mm.

Q: 5. Do I need this for a Yeti Blue mic?

Q: 6. how to switch on /off switches as fingure tips can’t reach them

Q: 8. Does this come with the required spacer to enable X/Y mic configuration as the product description claims? If not, can you recommend a part?

Q: 9. I realize the LCT 440 Pure is INTENDED for studio use, but if I wanted to use it outdoors, what deadcat wind screen would fit the microphone?

A: We do not have a furry deadcat style windcover available for the Lewitt LCT 440. The only option that we have for the LCT 440 is a foam windscreen, which is the Lewitt LCT-44-WX Windscreen for LCT 240, 440, 441, 540, and 640 Microphones (B&H # LELCT44WX).

I love this mic! I was looking to expand my home studio considering I had been producing music for seven years. I was recommended by an engineer to purchase this mic considering the tone of my voice. I produced and recorded a song hook and posted it on my soundcloud and people have fallen in love! Mind you I have never recorded myself before and this takes me one step closer to my dream to inspire with my music! I am thoroughly satisfied! You'll love this microphone!

For recording I tend to look for single-pattern mics that serve a specific purpose. The 240 pro records acoustic guitar very well and, perhaps due to its slightly smaller diaphragm, the guitar seems to occupy its own place in the mix without me having to screw around with the eq. Its a good solid microphone at a good price and it has its own sound which I like a lot.
