The Bescor BM-EPIC Battery & Charger features a clip-on battery pack with a 3' cable with a 2.5mm barrel connector compatible with the Rotolight NEO and NEO 2 LED lights and Blackmagic Cinema Camera. The battery has a military-style clip on the back that allows attaching it to belts, rigs, and other gear. It's a 14.8V lithium-ion battery that operates between 12V and a peak of 16.8V. It has zero memory effect and is rated for over 500 charge cycles.

When used with the Blackmagic camera, the battery provides approximately three to four times the power of the camera's internal battery, which lasts about 90 minutes in average applications. The included charger outputs 16.8V and provides a full charge in about three to four hours. Green and red indicators confirm charge status.

A: It should, not Im using Nikon D800 and Sony a6000/6300/6500 ,A7/a7s and all work great with elinchrom (el-skyport transmitter) . You also can use a few other models that require a receiver ;goddox , flashpoint, neewer etc. but I dont want to use the extra receiver . Even though the receiver is small I dont want extra baggage if I can help it, plus you have to meet anually set the rotolight but with the elinchrom you can set it up at the camera. Maby I deviated a bit but thats how it works for me.

A: Yes, the Rotolight can be used off camera. It comes with the Rotolight RL-NEO-PSU AC Adapter for NEO LED Light.

A: This depends on your use-case. The Neo 2 will provide light in the darkness. As long as your subject is close enough, you should get a usable image.

A: third party transmitter /receiver pairs would be able to trigger the flash function, however any changes in color temp/brightness etc would have to be done manually.

Let’s start off with the BOTTOM LINE-This is an amazing camera that has nearly endless rigging possibilities to suit many needs. Most of our projects are set with the cameras mounted to a tripod, with boom mic, etc. We shoot raw and it all through Davinci then to FCP. So the camera gives you so many options to manipulate the outcome as needed. Everything from the color, LUTS, lens selection, rigging possibilities makes this a very versatile tool for most filmmakers and production teams. Good luck with yours. 5

I have had many DSLR'S and even owned a Cannon C100 Mark I. This camera blows all of the DSLR camera's and the C100 away! The BRaw on Black Magic is totally Awesome, it gives you more flexibility to color correct the way it should be. I've tried to color grade all my footage with all of my DSLR'S and all I got was an over saturated piece of garbage. There's just something about the BMPCC 4k that no DSLR can do. It is excellent in low light and the picture is one hundred times better than my panasonic GH4. If making a feature film or short on a budget I would go with either a Bmpcc 4k or 6k, both are great choices. 5

In my humble opinion, this is the best video camera (not photography camera with video functionality) that you can walk around with without drawing a bunch of attention to yourself due to it looking like a DSLR. I prefer the 4K over the 6K for the MFT mount since I can play around with so many more lenses, including unmodified FD lenses. 5

This is exactly what I wanted (and more) for this price point. I love the flexibility you have with the footage, coming from a standard DSLR that shoots in mp4. There's a reason all of the youtube reviews you've watched are thru the roof with this thing. If I wanted something slightly better, I'm looking at paying 3,000 $ or more. I've seen C200 footage, Sony A7SIII... I'll pass for now until I truly want full frame. If only I could go back in time save 1,000 and bought this first.. my portfolio would be looking a lot nicer. 5

We've been using the BMD Pocket Cinema Camera 4K for a few weeks now and it's been great for our livestreaming. It took us a little bit to get used to it since it's different from the camcorders we were using before, but once we got it going, it's great! 5

Love this camera everything works great excellent video quality Few minor issue the battery door is hard to open, metabone adapter has a bit of play from camera side. the side with all the connection them rubber protection thing is annoying other then that it’s a very good camera for a start up business 5

This product is great, I first had a problem with getting it to turn on but figured it out. The display touch screen is great and the settings are easy to understand and there are a lot of youtube videos to help out if needed. I'm ready to buy the 6k camera also. 5
