Great for travelers who need to hold cameras and laptops

This is great for what it is. Because it's structured, it is bulky, and it's not really possible to just throw things in it. However, it is a great bag, and it makes carrying my camera and laptop around so much easier. I've even figured out how to use the smaller pockets in the main part of the bag for all sorts of odds and ends. The bag is also pretty light. I highly recommend this.

We will be going to Scotland this year. The Thunderhead backpack has enough room for a Pentax 645 NII, 3 lenses, 2 extra film inserts, filters,15 rolls of film and a cable shutter release. In addition it will hold my Leica X2, electronic view finder, battery charger, extra battery and memory cards. The laptop compartment will hold my Pentax 645 owner,s manual, which is quite large and my Leica owner,s manual. My tripod mounts on the side of the backpack very securely. And in addition it is small enough to carry aboard the aircraft. After some adjustments the pack fits perfectly and essays to carry.

Tried this pack out last week during a shoot in Colorado. Loaded it up with my camera, 2 extra lenses, a flash, chargers, tripod mounted on the outside, etc. etc. The total weight was about 17 lbs. Carried it around for a couple of days - and it worked well. Easy to open and take out what I needed, and it IS water repellent, as I found out. Great product.

I purchased this bag to use with my equipment when I travel on my many trips to Alaska. It is exactly what I needed with lots of storage pockets and sections. The case can be locked for travel by using plastic cable ties. The opening on the zipper pulls are NOT large enough to accommodate a TSA lock. I have another case by Ruggard and have found it to be very durable. This backpack offers sturdy padded dividers which provide lots of stability for my cameras, lens, and equipment. I was very pleased to see the strong zippers. The hidden rain cover was a wonderful surprise! If you have to travel with your equipment, this is the case to purchase. The backpack allows me to pack: Canon 70D camera, Canon 80D camera, 100x400 Canon lens, 18-300 Sigma lens, 5 batteries, 2 battery chargers, 2 manuals, 12 SD cards, 3 filters, and my Ipad with charging cord.

Not only can I fit my Camera, but my laptop, tripod, and the equipment all fit perfectly inside. I am also someone who like to take my equipment on the plane with me so the fact that it fit underneath the seat with all of my gear inside made it that much better!

I was looking for a bag that would hold a tripod and a water bottle. I was totally blown away when I got this bag! It has so much and I love the fact it has a rain cover and lots of room for my camera gear and my iPad. The zippers are great because many of them are concealed so you don't feel them or see them. I am looking forward to many adventures with this camera bag. I had bought this under the Deal Zone so I also got an amazing price for it.
