Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will it fit the FX9?

A: It will definitely fit the body itself with the accessories removed, but whether or not the camera will fit once it is fully built out depends on your rig and which accessories you've attached.

Q: 2. will a canon gl2 video camera and a canon 7d fit in the case with accessories?

A: I am not sure that your camera will fit, but it seems similar to my Panasonic. The case is a good value and very versatile.

Q: 3. Does it have a strap to fit on top of a rolling bag?

A: There is a shoulder strap on the PortaBrace Cinema Compact Soft Case for Assembled Cine-Style Camera that can be used to fit onto a rolling bag.

Q: 4. Would I be able to fit a panasonic hvx200?

A: Yes, this backpack is big enough to accommodate the Panasonic HVX200.

Q: 5. Would this bag be OK for a black magic mini ursa? I'm looking for something I can travel with.

A: This will easily handle a built-up URSA Mini and will be very good for transport. One caution, this is only for your own back-packing or traveling in your vehicle. Do not check this bag with the camera in it for an airline trip.

Q: 6. Can this bag hold a C300 II with the handle attached?

A: As the FS5 body and top handle fits with room to spare I would guess that the c300 would fit as well. Have used the c300 a fair amount I feel pretty confident with estimation. That said check the dimension in the specs and cross reference they with the c300 specs. Side note: This bag is extremely modular with a ton of removable Velcro dividers and attachments you can customize the bag to work with any mid-size cine camera.

Q: 7. Will this case hold the Z 6 with the 35mm F/1.8SZ lens attached in the down position?

A: Yes, this will take that combination of camera and lens.

Q: 8. Will this bag carry an extra S lens and The Z6 with 35 S lens attached in the down position? Thanks.

A: This case is not big enough to hold a Z6 with the 35mm lens and another lens.

Q: 9. I know these cases are mainly for camcorders, but you think I can use it for a Sony fx30 with attached 24-70mm lenses?

A: Yes, the Portabrace CS-DV1R Mini-DV Camcorder Case (Black/Red) would be suitable for housing a Sony FX30 and 24-70mm lens, as well as other compact cinema cameras combinations.

Q: 10. Would I be able to fit a c100 in it without disassembling the camera (specifically the audio handle and the handle on the right side)?

A: The Porta Brace BKS-2XM Expandable Backpack Camera Case (Black) interior dimensions are 25.0 x 16.5 x 10.5 / 63.5 x 41.9 x 26.7 cm. This is much bigger than any of the other cases we suggest for the C100. While we cannot guarantee that your configuration will work as you imagine, I say the chance is very good this bag will meet your needs.
