HS Series cabinets are designed to eliminate unwanted resonance and increase the

accuracy of sound reproduction to their extreme limit. The enclosures are constructed from

a dense MDF with a damped acoustic response. HS Series engineers also employed a traditional three-way mitered-joint technique. Common to architectural design, this construction firmly anchors the corners of the enclosure to improve durability and eliminate unwanted resonance that can influence overall sound

Speaker port design can greatly influence the clarity of overall sound. Often a vortex at the either end of the port can generate air vibrations inside of the port, causing unwanted noise. By adopting a noise reduction technology that incorporates an analysis of

a visual representation of the sound, Yamaha's engineers are able to control and reduce the vortex. Through this analysis Yamaha has arrived at a port design that reduces noise up to 6dB

HS Series full-range models feature two response controls with settings that allow them to adapt to the surface acoustics of rooms of varying shape and size. ROOM CONTROL allows you to

attenuate the unnatural, exaggerated low-end that can often occur when speakers are placed

next to walls, while HIGH TRIM allows for more flexible control of high frequency response.

For inputs, HS full-range speakers can accommodate a range of balanced and unbalanced sources such as mixers, keyboards and audio interfaces with XLR and TRS phone jacks

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are casters available for this item?

A: No, casters are not available for this type of stand. They do make stands with casters that have a flatter leg extension but these types of C-Stands are a stand alone type & do not incorporate the use of wheels.

Q: 2. how much weight can this hold? thinking to use a C stand to hold my photo booth camera/ computer/printer/ case. Any other suggestions?

A: The load capacity is going to be 22 pounds for the C-stand. If mounting heavy things, we would recommend using sandbags to hold everything down. You can get that here: https://bhpho.to/2CUDFhl

Q: 3. Wanting to add a shotgun boom to this stand. What accessories do I need to purchase? Thanks!

A: Yes. Please review the following item in order to do so. Auray Boom Pole Holder BH #AUBPH • MFR #BPH https://bhpho.to/3lYLmKe

Q: 4. Theres another impact C-Stand model wich is Chrome plated, but this is one is only chrome steel in the description. Any difference? In the picture of the Chome steel version, I dont know if its the picture, but it dosent looks like to have the same color of the chrome plated version?

A: I believe it's just the color of the steel itself, just as if you were to buy a car with a chrome color. There isn't any difference, same performance.

Q: 5. Does this stand feature air/spring cushioning?

A: No, the Impact Turtle Base C-Stand - 10.75' does not feature a spring or air cushioning mechanism.

Q: 6. Can I use a Canon 580 slave flash with the vision 4?

A: Neither the Canon 580EX Speedlite Flash nor the Canon 580EX II Speedlite Flash are compatible with the Neewer Vision4 Battery-Powered Strobe when the 580EX/580EX II are used off-camera as a slave flash. The 580EX/580EX II flashes do not have built-in optical slaves. If you are using the 580EX/580EX II on-camera as a optical trigger, then you may use the Neewer Vision4 Battery-Powered Strobe in optical slave mode so the 580EX/580EX II will wirelessly trigger the Neewer Vision4 Battery-Powered Strobe.

Q: 7. Will this hold a kino flo diva lite 400?

A: This stand can hold a Kino Diva 400.

Q: 8. I'm thinking of using this for a D&O light box, the 180W, and I need to tilt the box downward slightly more than its yoke allows. Does the top section of the stand tilt, or will I need a tilting connection or section?

A: The top riser of the stand does not tilt. To add this range of motion, you may place the Kupo EZ Grip Finger with Baby 5/8" Stud and Receiver, BH # KUKG300612 on the top of the C-stand: https://bhpho.to/3pp0csc

Q: 9. Do I need to buy anything extra to attach my AlienBee B400 to this stand?

A: No, the AlienBee 400 will attach directly to the c-stand with no needed extra accessories.

Q: 10. Can this be used as a backdrop stand and is there a suitable crossbar that could go with this that is also made of durable material so that there is no bowing in the middle when the stand is fully extended and holding weight ten feet across?

A: I use these for background stands, but I attached a Superclamp to the baby pin at the top and then use a piece of 10 foot conduit, that is clamped into the Superclamp, I picked up the electrical conduit from Home Depot or Lowes in their electrical departments. The electrical conduit is NOT collapsible but is it available in various sizes for backgrounds with pockets and they typically will not bow unless you hang a LOT of weight from them.
