The single 15mm rod mount design allows you to mount the FocusONE on either side of the lens, or from above if your rod system features a rod above the lens.

Personally, I'd be reluctant to use it, my ground is that I had to fiddle with the adjustments quite a bit in order for it to work properly and not try to move the lenses around or slip, you could try it. If you intend on getting cine lenses in the future it's definitely a workable device.
