The Kenko KFM-2200 Cine & Flash Meter is a digital handheld exposure meter capable of both incident and reflected light measurement, including flash and strobes. The KFM-2200 utilizes a spherical diffuser with a 270° rotation angle for most readings, including the ability to take a 1° spot measurement using the viewfinder. It can then use one of three measurement modes depending on your specific needs.

For working with both cinema and still photography use, there are a variety of additional settings, especially a large selection of shutter speeds from 30 minutes to 1/16000 second. It even features a flash sync terminal for metering your strobes for still photography. Also, it can display an aperture range from f/1.0 to f/128 and 9/10.

The digital LCD display is backlit to increase readability and shows a variety of parameters, each of which can be set to determine proper exposure values for your camera settings. The KFM-220 also features a viewfinder with diopter adjustment for taking spot measurements of reflected light. It includes a soft case and strap for storage and travel.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how reliable is this colormeter with led lights and hmi?

A: Although this meter is suitable for reading the color of an HMI lamp, it is not optimized for LED lighting. A better option for both would be the Sekonic C-800 SpectroMaster Color Meter, BH# SEC800SM https://bhpho.to/3pz6CJ0

Q: 2. Is this still made in USA like the earlier Spectra IV was?

A: The Spectra Cine PRO V Exposure Meter with TFT Display is manufactured in the US.

Q: 3. What size PC Sync connector will work with the Kenko KFM-2200? The standard PC connectors are too large.

A: This meter takes a standard pc connection. If the one you have is too large, then you can compress the end a bit with pliers to make it fit.

Q: 4. Does it measure light color in K unit ?

A: Yes this can measure the color temperature of light using the Kelvin unit.

Q: 5. Can I fire my flash from (with) this meter

A: If you attach a sync cord or a wireless transmitter to the sync port of the KFM-1100 Auto Digi Meter, it could fire a flash.

Q: 6. Can it trigger a Pocket Wizard?

A: Yes, using a Pocket Wizard transmitter, it will trigger a Pocket Wizard receiver.

Q: 7. Can this also give a light intensity reading (such as footcandles or lux)?

A: No, the 3100 color meter does not give light intensity readings in either footcandles or Lux.

Q: 8. Will the auto bounce work with film cameras unlike the Canon model?

A: The auto-bounce feature is not compatible with film SLRs.

Q: 9. does this have spot metering ability and if so is it 1 degree?

A: The KFM-1100 can accept a 5 degree spotfinder, B&H # KEKFM100 , http://bhpho.to/18Gjvp0.

Q: 10. Does this meter tell you light temperature as well? i.e. 3200, 5600, etc

A: No, the Sekonic L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter is not a color meter and does not measure the light Kelvin temperature output. If you are trying to measure color temperature, I would recommend the Sekonic C-700-U SpectroMaster Color Meter, B&H # SEC700U, the Kenko KCM-3100 Professional Color Temperature Meter, B&H # KECM3100, or the Illuminati Instrument Light and Color Meter, B&H # ILIM100, for your usage needs.
