Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If I am putting a microphone on it, do i need to buy an extra piece to go with the stand? Or does it come with it already?

A: This is just the stand - it does not come with a microphone clip. The part that actually holds the microphone is called a clip, and should come with the mic (guaranteeing that it will fit). Mic clips can be purchased for your specific mic.

Q: 2. I have a studio condenser mic with shock mount, can I use it or switch to it? Do I need an adapter ? Or is the mic stand equipped?

A: Yes, you should be able to attach the shock mount and studio condenser mic directly to the mic stand. The Pyle Pro mic stand that is included with the PMKSM20 microphone. Simply remove the Pyle Pro mic clip from the stand and then attach your shock mount. The Pyle Pro mic stand has a standard 5/8" thread.

Q: 3. what is the upper pole diameter?

A: 1.375"

Q: 4. Dimensions of this bag?

A: This rugged tripod microphone stand bag is 39.0 x 9.5 x 5", and can hold 6 mic stands and booms.

Q: 5. does this hanger comes with Stirrup? Is it available in black

A: The picture in this listing is incorrect. Item C822 comes with the stirrup, not the universal head shown here. It is not available in black.

Q: 6. Does B&H (or anybody) sell replacement elastic for this model mount? Mine is more than 10 years old and useless.

A: Hi, we do not sell replacement elastic bands for this model. You may contact the manufacturer for replacement parts @ https://on-stage.com/replacement_parts. Thank you for shopping at B&H!

Q: 7. Will this fit on the Shure SM7B? What's the inside diameter of the clamp while it is tightened?

A: The On-Stage Pop Blocker for Rode PodMic Microphone (Version 2), B&H # ONPBPMJBHV2, will not fit a Shure SM7B microphone. Use the recommended ISOVOX ISOPOP BroadCast Pop Filter for Broadcast Microphones (Midnight Black), B&H # ISOPOPB.

Q: 8. Will the K&M 23550 Adjustable Microphone Bar fit in this attachment?

A: Marcela,The threaded connector on the K&M 23550 is a 3/8 thread.On-Stage MY550 has a 5/8 thread, so the K&M piece will not fit. However, On-Stage offers a stereo mic bar as well, our MY500 - Stereo Mic Attachment Bar, which will be compatible with the MY550.Hope this helps!

Q: 9. What is this stand's max weight capacity with the boom arm?

A: The manufacturer has not specified a maximum weight capacity, but when I asked they did confirm that the stand is intended for use with lighter weight microphones and recommend keeping the load below 2 lbs.

Q: 10. I'm looking for a way to attach my webcam to my desk mounted microphone boom with a shock mount. Wondering if this could attach this to the top arm of the boom & attach the webcam to it? The webcam has a standard hole to attach to a camera mount like a tripod.

A: It would work, yes. You would need the appropriate adapter for your cameras mount. I own one of these and frankly, all I use it for is to hang my headphones. It is kind of bouncy because of the type and thickness of the metal. It will adjust to fit either your mic stand pole or the boom. However, I really would not recommend it for a camera because of its real potential for vibration. Not even a web cam. May I suggest a simple adapter from the top of mic stand which fits your camera. This would be a lot less shaky. And less expensive.
