Q: 1. I have been struggling using this on 6.5 rods, the mattebox does not slide freely down the rods, it stops at the end of the rods because the up and down adjustment does not go high enough. Does anyone have a solution to this, other than getting shorter rods?

A: Yes, the SmartRig+ allows you to toggle between mono and stereo modes using a switch that is located between the two XLR-1/4" combo input jacks. The switch is labeled with "M" and "S" to indicate mono and stereo operation.

Q: 10. I take it if there is a switch for record/playback this device probably can’t do playback while recording? I do track recording and normally play previous tracks through headphones while recording and I wondered if this one can do that.
