The A1PX 1.5V Alkaline Battery from Exell Battery is an alkaline replacement cell for the ANSI/NEDA 1100A cell most commonly found in cameras, carriage clocks, and red dot sights. It features a slightly higher voltage than the original 1.35 V mercury cell, but most devices will accept the minor increase in voltage and still function normally.

Works as a replacement for older mercury style batteries, although I’ve read that camera meters using alkaline batteries can be a little unreliable especially in brighter conditions. 5

I genuinely believe that my interest in vintage photography would have been indefinitely stymied were it not for the folks at B&H providing the little bits that one doesn't immediately consider when purchasing cameras. In this case, this little battery helps power the lamp for the coupler which illuminates the light meter and helps me to shoot flash photography. To say I'm grateful for stores providing me the ability to secure those minute details is an understatement. 5
