The 77mm Genustech Eclipse ND Fader Filter is a solid variable neutral density filter providing an exposure reduction of approximately 2 to 8 stops. The 0.6 to 2.4 optical density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. The degree of density is easily controlled by rotating the front filter ring, helping you to predetermine the additional exposure length required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

The filter is constructed from optical glass for high image quality and features an aluminum filter ring for rigidity and to prevent filter jamming. For easier, repeatable control over density settings, the front ring is visually demarcated with dots that represent different density values. The front 82mm female threads of the filter are larger than the rear 77mm male threads to help minimize vignetting.

0.6 to 2.4 ND filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.

Providing a reduction of 2 to 8 stops, this filter allows you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

Laser technology helps to ensure notable color fidelity, sharpness, and clarity.

Optical glass construction maintains high image quality and aluminum filter ring works to prevent filter jamming.

Indexed filter ring enables easier, more consistent adjustment of ND settings.

Front threads measure 82mm to prevent vignetting.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can someone please confirm for me the front diameter of this ring? It says for 105mm matte box, but when I asked Genus he said these rings are 95mm. I don't have a genus matte box, I want to make my ZE lenses match zeiss ultra prime fronts (95mm). Thanks.

A: Thanks to both answers so far!! Unfortunately now I'm very confused. One of you is telling me it is 95mm and one is saying 105mm. Is it possible there are two different ones? I'm assuming you both measured. Thanks again!

Q: 2. Will this fit a Go Pro Hero 7 WHITE?

A: Yes, it will fit.

Q: 3. Could this Matte box be converted to rails or swing-away?

A: The Genustech Genus Cage for GoPro will support filters with a 52mm filter threading.

Q: 6. Is there some kind of bracket available for me to attach my Nexus 7 to use as a monitor? Something that would make it quick and easy to clip on or remove when I set up the jib?

A: If the mount he has for his Nexus 7 has a 1/4 -20 or 3/8 threaded stud there are several places where an arm can be screwed into the pillar of the Jib-Arm.

A: Yes, your 105mm lens will fit because the matte box comes with a wide angle extension that will fit the 105mm lens.

Q: 8. Does this matte box not come with side flags?

A: Hello David. The GWMC comes in two configurations currently: The GWMC matte box on its own (including the filter trays), and the GWMC Kit that comes with the Matte Box, the Top Flag, adaptor bars bracket, and a set of step up rings to a 82mm filter ring (full kit).
