The 1500' OM1 4-Ch Multimode Tactical Fiber ST Snake Cable Reel from Camplex features a tight-buffered, round cable with 36" orange fanouts, ST connectors, and a Schill fiber optic reel. The cable is designed for broadcast and audio deployments in indoor and extreme terrain outdoor settings. It is multi-stage machine polished and tested for < -55 dB return loss. Diagnostics documentation is supplied for each channel. The reel features a connector protection cavity, a hinged latching door, and it fully supports the required bend radius.

The cable features a polyurethane outer sheath, thick layer of aramid strength members, helically stranded core for flexibility and survivability, and mechanical optical fiber protection. It is built to withstand chemicals, cuts, abrasions, and crushing by vehicles as heavy as military tanks. It can be used directly on the ground in harsh terrain, such as mining environments.

I had 2 separate employees tell me that the ink dries out if the printer is not used on a daily basis - the air can get to the them whereas the cartridges are sealed and no air can get to them. They told me not to buy a printer with the ecotanks since I wouldn't be using it frequently enough. Is this true? I liked the idea of the ecotanks but I don't want to be replacing the printer in a few months or so.

A: True, if you are not using the Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8500 Wireless Color All-in-One Supertank Printer on a regular basis, then you will want to keep the ink tank full. This way, no air will stay in the ink tanks. However, even with ink cartridges, you also run into the issue of a cartridge drying out.

I purchased this case to house and transport a Rode NTG 2 with equipment for it. i use these cases along with other pelican products to keep my sensitive electronic equipment safe damage. This size is great for getting Lenses, Laptops, and other medium size loads. If you are planning on buying one I would suggest giving yourself at least 3/4 inch between components though anything less does not seem to work very well. 5

i do a lot of back country camping, 4x4 and motor cycle riding in remote areas of the rocky mountains and utah. seems like there is always something that needs attention and usually in a hurry. stocked it up with what i had plus some other stuff, and it works great. every thing in one place, dry and secure. every thing fits perfectly, even 36 inch splints. now i have every thing ready to go when camping and transfer back to the big truck when it's time to roll 18 wheels again. no more plastic tackle boxes and tool boxes that always get wet or dump your stuff out on the ground when you pick them up, or digging around looking for what you need. all organized and easily to inventory. pelican cases are the best, hands down. i trust them for all my camera equipment and my fire arms when transporting to the field. the color is great. makes it easy to recognize from the other cases. 5

I work for a student TV station at the university that I attend and Pelican cases are the only brand of protective gear that we use. I bought the orange to save $. Why not? I'm so glad I bought the case with the dividers instead of the foam. They make it so easy to rearrange your gear and really keep it safe during travel and adventures. I actually like the bright orange for the reason that if I ever were to get stranded it could be a benefit, as well as through woods with hunters. 5

I help manage a microscope core at the University I work at. I purchased this case to store and transport many of our incredibly expensive microscope objectives. The case comes with a full foam insert that is very easy to modify for specific sizes and shapes you need so that the case securely holds the equipment you put inside it. The case itself feels almost indestructible - Pelican clearly put a ton of effort into designing a strong and functional case. Although they claim it is water-tight, I do not plan to test this out! Also, there are two nicely placed padlock holes if you need to lock your case (padlocks sold separately!) The handle is very ergonomically designed and has a nice rubber grip. I would not hesitate to buy another Pelican case if needed and I would highly recommend this brand of case for anyone needing a rugged, high-quality case for fragile & sensitive equipment. 5
