Top class build quality, outstanding performance, super sharp! Love the versatility! By far my favorite lens!!!! Highly recommend it! Great value for the money. I personally find it way better in any way compared to the Sony 16-35 2.8GM

I haven't seen any head to head comparison's between this lens and the Nikon and with B&H excellent return policy, purchased the Sigma and then rented the Nikon 14-24. First, the Nikon is 11 years old at this point but the difference is clear. The Sigma is clearer at the edges although has somewhat more vignetting especially at f/2.8. Flare control, contrast and by every other measure, the Sigma is superior to my eye. Likely doesn't make a difference in RAW but I turned off all in camera vignette control and distortion correction to make sure what I got out was just lens performance. I set both lenses to "generic" for lens data to make sure they were treated the same in Capture One since there is no lens profile for the Sigma in Capture One to date. All images taken on a tripod on a Nikon D850 at ISO 64. I have never before purchased a third party lens but so far, very impressed by the Sigma. The build quality also appears better on the Sigma than the Nikon.

Shorter and heavier than my 16-35 type III, I love to carry this lens for wide shots on my 5D Mark IV, along with my 24-105 on my 5D sr. The shorter length of this lens works well with my Cotton Carrier for boulder-hopping hikes. I am very pleased with the optical quality and price.

Really quite sharp from 2.8 on my A7Riv. Feels premium.

I've only used the best of the glass (i.e., on an APS-C sensor). Focus/sharpness at infinity at 14mm (21mm equiv.) exceeds that of Samyang's 14mm prime. Sharpness remains excellent at least up to 21mm and is still very good above 21mm. AF on a Sony e-mount is silent and quick. I find the lens comparatively impressive.
