When operating on battery, the Smart App Sinewave UPS outputs power with a pure sine wave that is identical to or cleaner than the power from the utility company grid, free of harmonic distortion and electrical noise, resulting in optimal line clarity.

The integrated LCD interface enables users to check UPS status, manage UPS setup and control, and run testing/battery calibration options. Status and log menus provide UPS vitals including input and output voltage levels, battery information, runtime estimates, load information, event and fault logging, and other system information. The setup and control menus offer users the ability to customize their PR2200LCD UPS to their specific parameters of operation including shutdown options, voltage sensitivity, alarm settings and other parameters. The test menu enables self testing and battery calibration to ensure your UPS is operating correctly.

The LCD control panel on the PR2200LCD can be removed and relocated for easy viewing using the attached 4.5 ft. cable. This feature provides easy access to view status or change settings on the UPS when it's installed in a hard to reach areas.

This software suite manages the power for all servers and computers supported by the UPS on a network. Features include application/OS shutdown, event logging (power, surge, and voltage variations) hibernation mode, internal reports and analysis, as well as remote management capability for comprehensive power control.

Full AVR boost/buck technology stabilizes the AC voltage by increasing low voltages and decreasing high voltages to maintain a safe voltage level without switching to battery-mode. This conserves battery life, and delivers cleaner AC power to connected equipment.

Patented GreenPower UPS advanced bypass circuitry reduces UPS energy consumption by up to 75% when compared to comparable models. This unique design also reduces the amount of heat generated by the UPS.

Advanced efficiency design (reduced fan operation), high-end system components, and GreenPower UPS technology help minimize sound emissions.

The power button has been designed to minimize the chance the UPS can be turned off or interfered with by accident.

Filters against electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference ensure clean power for connected equipment.

Distinctive tones identify when the unit is running on battery power, if it is overloaded, or when the battery is low.

The included PowerPanel power management software has been fully tested and is compatible with Windows 8 32/64, Windows 7 32/64, Vista 32/64, XP 32/64, 2000, 2003, Server 2008 and Server 2012.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the difference between CPS1500AVR Smart App Equipped Uninterrupted Power Supply and OR1500LCDRT2U?

A: The biggest difference is the OR1500LCDRT2U comes with an LCD screen and the CPS1500AVR does not.

Q: 2. Hi, for the CyberPower PR2200RTXL2U how many Extended Battery Modules (BH #CYBP48VP2U02 MFR #BP48VP2U02)can be added together?

A: The CyberPower PR2200RTXL2U Smart App Sinewave UPS BH #CYPR22RTXL2U supports up to 10 extended CyberPower Extended Battery Modules BH #CYBP48VP2U02.

Q: 3. When AC grid power is restored, will the UPS turn on automatically, power up all connected devices and charge battery?

A: Yes, the CyberPower CP1500PFC will turn back on when power is restored. This is a setting you can change if you would prefer it to stay off until manually switched back on again.

Q: 4. Does this allow remote monitoring/email alerts?

A: Hello David, Yes this unit will support remote monitoring/email alerts with the addition of the optional RMCARD205.

Q: 5. Can this UPS be remotely managed?

A: Yes, this CyberPower Smart App LCD UPS can be remotely managed, using the included PowerPanel Business Edition Software.

Q: 6. does this make any noise? fan noise? I'm think about mounting this in my sound studio.

A: Bit late to the party, but in the hopes this may help someone: Yes, it makes noise. There is a constant hum, not just when on battery power, and noticeable vibration, kind of like touching a speaker. I would not recommend this for a quiet location.

Q: 7. will rack ears alone support this unit's 50 POUNDS? seems like rails would be required to not damage the rack or equipment.

A: Yes, the rack ears that are included with the CyberPower CPS1500AVR Smart App Equipped Uninterrupted Power Supply BH #CYPS1500AVR are able to hold if properly secured. A rail kit is available separately if you prefer that. CyberPower 4POSTRAIL Rackmount Rail Kit B&H # CY4POSTRAIL

Q: 8. Does it work with 220-240 volt plug ?

A: This is for 88 - 140v input only.

Q: 9. Will this work with Mac OS X, like the CPS1500AVR?

A: I assume you are asking if the UPS software will shut down your MAC if the power fails? You will have to go on line to the units mfg. and read an owners manual. I bought my unit to retain power to my computers if the power failed. When I am doing a video render, I don't want my computer shut down until I am ready. My experience: It performed well during a 3 hour power outage. I would recommend this unit for its intended purpose. Walt Copeland, A/V Engineer

Q: 10. If my PC has a 1200 watt Power supply will this be strong enough at 900 watts? Is this a pass through design?

A: The 900 watt rating is how many watts it will deliver when on battery. It's rated at 1500 watts pass-through when on line power. Even though your computer has a 1200 watt power supply, it more than likely never pulls that much. Most modern computers only draw 100-200 watts when idle or doing light tasks like email/web browsing. If you have 2-3 high-end power hungry video cards, are doing rendering or video processing, with a pile of hard drives, you could start getting up to the 900 watt limit. Buy a kill-a-watt and measure for sure. Also note that at 100% utilization on battery (drawing 900 watts) the run time is very short; maybe a minute or two. My workstation has an 850 watt power supply, a single GeForce 960 video card, i7-6700k, 16gb ram, 4 hdds and an ssd. With the router, a switch, and 2 monitors, I draw 350 watts when playing games & working on video encoding. I get approx. 15 minutes runtime. Idle it uses 75-100 watts, and a 30 min run time.

We use UPS devices to protect all our sensitive electronic equipment, including computers and flat-screen television. This true sinewave UPS properly conditions power to these electronics, and is always present to correct a loss of power, a surge or a brown-out. This unit is silent (no loud humm), and as an Energy Star appliance, draws just a fraction of the vampire power we measured on our older UPS units. All UPS units eventually require a fresh battery; the replacement cost for this CyberPower unit is considerably lower than for units by the other leading manufacturer. The LCD screen on the CyberPower provides excellent information on battery condition, AC power to the unit, power draw from connected equipment, and estimated run time on battery backup alone. Overall, an excellent unit.

I have three of these units. The feature that is important to me is the pure sinewave output. Cheaper units have modified sinewave output which is not as clean and wrecks havoc with sensitive equipment such as certain power supplies in modern computers and a host of other devices. The pure sinewave output of these units take care of this issue with ease. I am also pleased with the build quality and information display.

Tough to review something like this... because it either works... or it doesn't...

Um... I plugged it in, and it works. Got two for two iMacs as well as some external thunderbolt raid drives. My computers have not exploded and my house has not burned down, so I am happy.

Five stars all the way.
