A: Hi Maria -Assuming that you want Analog audio out, leave all the DIP switches off. If you want digital audio out (AES) the switch positions are silkscreened on the unit. This doesn't apply to this one (SDI to Audio) but to some of the others available in this product line.

Q: 3. Can this Converter be powered from a D-TAP Battery? If so, what D-TAP Cable is required?

A: UpDownCross HD has a wide voltage range of 6V to 36V so can be powered by D-Tap but you will need a conversion cable - which Im sure already exist, your B&H representative should be able to point you in the right direction.

Q: 4. Do I have embedded audio singal on the SDI-output of this converter?

A: This converter will de-embed audio from the SDI Input. The SDI Output will be the same as the SDI Input. No change to the signal. So if there is audio on the SDI input, there will be audio on the SDI output.

A: I do not believe so. According to the dip switch settings on the back the lowest resolution is 525.

A: I'm not sure if it is necessary to feed silent audio but you certainly can. If there is no audio on an SDI track the AES audio out will be silent.
