A: It's made to fit Made to Fit 35mm Diameter Columns/Pipe, it will usually fit the top section of the column which should be 35mm.

Q: 3. What are the weight limitations that this will hold? If I'm using the C-stand riser what unit will this safely hold?

A: The manufacture does not list the support weight of the Kupo Pivoting Boom Arm Clamp. It is made to use a C stand column and most of those have a support weight of up to 22 lbs.

Q: 4. How useful is this for macro work? Can it be flexed forward at an angle that points the flash immediately in front of the lens?

A: The clamp can work with items that are between,Minimum Jaw Diameter is 1.18 (30mm)Maximum Jaw Diameter is 1.38 (35mm)There are many Foba extensions. Technically if the one you are referring to is in between the sizes above it should fit.

Q: 10. Will this grip arm support work with other C-stands with grip arms, i.e. A Matthews Hollywood C-Stand?

A: It can work with any C-stand but you will also need a Kupo 3 way clamp, this fits the C-stand. The grip arm can't be greater than 16mm (I had to look that up on the Kupo site). I bought this when I tried to mount a Westcott Apollo Orb, and pair of Cactus RF60 Flashes with battery packs and it was able to keep it in position. Without it I couldn't keep it upright.

I thought I could get away with using smaller, cheaper mounts for my monitors but they all prove to be too weak once my LCDs are attached. After much research I decided to try the Kupo Max Arm. It is the real deal. Much cheaper than other name brand options (about half the price, to be exact). I highly recommend this item. Im using two to support two monitors with full size sony f950 batteries, one 9 and one 5. The pictures i have included show the 5 mounted with an Impact Super Clamp. I decided to use two Impact rapid baby to 1/4-20 adapters attached to Oben BD-0's for quick mounting. Works great. Fast and solid. I expect these arms to last the long haul.

I have been using for couple of months now and this is the best arm for mounting anything thing from a dslr camera to a medium size led light the arm has very secure and sturdy locking mechanism. Kupo is not as expensive as the manfrotto to the only drawback is the weight its heavy compared to manfrotto articulating arm.

No need for hard-to-carry C-Stands and a Boom Extension when this small arm attaches to a standard light stand to allow me to put the camera directly below a speed light and Softbox for Butterfly lighting on location.

This arm is meant to be used with the Kupo 3 way clamp. It attaches in seconds and adds additional support for the 40 arms to hold your accessories such as lights, etc. If you use light weight stands for on location you know the more elaborate you get with the lights and reflectors the stands need sandbags because of additional weight. Additional weight causes the grips to slip or the arm s to bend, This item will stop these two problems.

I bought this to use with a convi clamp mounted to a stand to hold my H6 recorder. It's complete overkill. I have mounted a Canon 5DSR with a canon grip and 70-200 IS II with no problem. I love the big handle. It makes it much easier to torque. I haven't used it enough to find anything negative about it. I do know that I expect it to last.
