Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it fits the canon 6D with battery grip and EF 24 -70mm ?

A: This will fit a Canon 6D with an EF 24-70mm lens just fine........but it will NOT fit the 6D with the battery grip.

Q: 2. Can the lens hood on the RF 100-500mm lens stay in shooting position when attached to Canon R6 in this holster?

A: No, the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens mounted on the Canon EOS R6 Mirrorless Camera with the hood forward facing will not fit in the Think Tank Photo Digital Holster 20 V2.0 (Black), even with the bag fully extended.

Q: 3. Will this work with Nikon D800 with battery grip and 70-200 lens?

A: For the D800 with a battery grip and the 70-200mm f/2.8, you would need to go with the Think Tank Photo Digital Holster 40 V2.0 (B&H # THDH40). The 20 wont accommodate the grip.

Q: 4. Will this fit Nikon D5500 with nikkor 18-200mm with hood reverse without extend the bottom?

A: i'm a canon user and i sincerely do not know anything about nikon...

Q: 5. Will this work in expanded version with Nikon D750 and 28-300 lens with hood on (not reversed)?

A: It works with my 200mm f4 micro with hood on...

Q: 6. Would this work with a SONY a7RII and a Sony 24-240 mm or Canon 70-300 mm lens ( plus adapter for lens)?

A: I've been using it with Sony A7Rii and Sony 24-70 and 16-35 lenses. I haven't tried it with the 24-240 lens yet but think that it would fit, especially if one open the bottom extension. I don't have Canon 70-300 and so can't comment. However, you should be able to determine by taking dimensions of your system and comparing it with the holster, with and without the bottom extension opened.

Q: 7. Does anyone know the diameter of the pop down section of the holster?

A: Diameter of the pop down section is about 4.5" and it extends down about 4.5".

Q: 8. Will this fit lowepro S&F utility belt wide section (at the back)?

A: Yes it will fit

Q: 9. Will this fit an Olympus E-M1 with HLD-7 grip attached or will I need the Digital Holster 40? Thanks...

A: It fits, I use my Think Tank Digital Holster 20 V2.0 with an Oly OMD-EM1 Mk 2, 12-100mm and battery holder; it's tight but works well. It will loosen up a bit with time.

Q: 10. will this fit a Nikon D810 + L Bracket (small lens) ?

A: With an L-Bracket on it would fit but it would be an extremely right fit because bracket would make it very difficult to get out. If anything, I would recommend going to a bag that has a bit more internal room.

As always (in my experience) with Think Tank products, this Holster is a finely designed and manufactured product.  I use it mainly to carry in front of me my camera and a general lens (Sony A7RIII + 24-105mm), while the rest of my equipment is in the bag pack.  I hang the Holster on the chest strap that holds the two shoulder straps together - perfect to quickly grab the camera.

I have two holster 20 v2.0 : one for my 5DMARKIV/ 70/200 and the other for my 7dmarkii/ 100/400. Fits ok with extender open. I have one each side mounted on my think tank waist bag that carries a couple of lenses and lunch. I do a lot of hicking and snowshoeing and have no problems carrying all this gear for 7 miles . Weight very well balance

The holster-style camera bags are relatively new to me; but they have become my go-to bags. They are designed to hold the camera snuggly and not much else, so you have to take that into consideration. I have both the  20 V2.0 and the 30 V2.0, the latter of which holds a Canon 5D DSLR wth 80-200 or 100-400 lens and hood, when unzipped. But with the Mark 3 body it’s quite snug, which still works for me, but others may be bothered by the tight fit. The fit with the mark IV body is much better. When using the 30 V2.0 and a big lens, I attach it to a Speed Belt and also use the shoulder strap that comes with it, thereby spreading the load between the two. That works well for me and is comfortable for extended periods. I found no need to buy an accessory strap for this purpose. The ability to slide the holster around the belt to vary the position adds greatly to it comfort over time.

When planning a recent trip to Europe I wanted to pack light and not cary around a photo backpack. This holster and a long lense pouch was all that was needed. The holster extends for the long lens when attached to keep it protected and the camera accessible. My 5d3 had a wrist strap attached, and I kept the camera in the holster with my hand in the strap most of the time, but the zipper cover is easily accessible. Worked so great I purchase two more for my kids cameras!

Very nicely designed and constructed bag. You can feel the quality immediately when touching the material and operating the zippers. More expensive than other holsters like Case Logic, but you know this one will outlast them by years.

Fits my D7000 with 18-140 attached (hood reversed), SB400, spare camera and flash batteries, a few SD cards, and travel cleaning tools without extending the bottom section. With bottom section extended, fits my D7000 with Sigma 70-200 attached (lens hood reversed). Also has room for a few filters, cell phone, folded map, tickets, etc., in the side pouch.

The shoulder strap is well made and comfortable, with both a slick and slightly grippy side. It's not as nice as my Peak Design camera strap, but still pretty good. Since I use this as a shoulder holster, I haven't tried the waist belt, but the belt "loop" panel is very substantial. Also, haven't attached one of the ThinkTank lens holders to the bag. The attachment strap seems substantial, but I prefer to carry extra lenses inside versus outside my bag.

Based on the quality of this bag, I ordered the Speed Demon. Hoping it's as good as this holster.

all these Think Tank holsters are well made and have many ways to attach to a strap, harness or backpack. This one fits the Sony A7rii with attached L-bracket and the Fe 24-105MM with hood in shooting position (if one removes the extra divider in the bottom of the bag. Room for cards in the inside lid pocket, lenscap in stretchy front pocket, extra battery or two in the side pocket and/or front pocket as well. Good for one-lens travel. I can also hook it to my daypack with the Think Tank camera support straps for extra hands-free security when traveling. Great product!
