Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you add text or any logo to the picture through the printer or only with a computer?

A: To add a logo to a print using the Canon SELPHY CP1500 Compact Photo Printer with Ink and Paper Kit (White), you need to use a computer and some editing software.

Q: 2. Can this be used with a Godox AD200 with a Godox S-Type Speedlite Bracket for Bowens?

A: Yes the Godox S-Type Speedlite Bracket for Bowens has an umbrella slot by which this umbrella can be used.

Q: 3. How long is it when folded? I am looking something under 16" easy to travel with

A: The folded size of the Impact 45" Convertible Umbrella is 29.8".

Q: 4. Is this umbrella collapsible? (Does it close shut?) If it doesn't are there any umbrellas similiar to this one that do? I am looking for something that is at least semi-portable and storeable.

A: YES. It is just like any umbrella you would use for going out in the rain (except without a handle). Collapses and slides into a storage sleeve. Very compact. Slide the metal shaft into an umbrella holder and mount on a light stand. I have two of these. They are great and inexpensive. The cover comes off so you can shoot through the white umbrella with your flash or flip it around and then put the silver/black reflector cover on and use the umbrella to reflect your flash back to your subject for a little more light control. I can do large group shots with two of these. One on camera left and camera right. You will need a system to fire your flashes or strobes remotely.

Q: 5. How do you remove the black backing?

A: You would pull the tips of the arms on the umbrella to remove the black backing.

Q: 6. Will the shaft fit an aputure 100D?

A: Yes, the shaft on this Impact Convertible Umbrella is 8mm thick, which will fit the umbrella slot on the Amaran 100d.

Q: 7. The product overview says the black cover can be removed halfway, however the reviewer comments seem to imply the black cover can be removed completely. Can anybody please clarify?

A: The Black cover can be completely removed or partially. The black cover is removed with the umbrella completely folded. The protective cap is unscrewed so you can remove the cover.

Q: 8. I can't find the canvas papers in specs for a Canon TA-30. Can I use this with my printer?

A: Although the Canon TA-30 printer can accomodate media upto 31.5 mil thick, the Canon TA-30 only uses 5 dye inks and would NOT be considered adequate for photographic or art reproduction.

Q: 9. Have you shot an led light into this for video? Thanks.

A: Yes, works great

Q: 10. Will this work well with the Impact SF-ABRL160?

A: Yes it should work once it's got a hole where the umbrella rod can go through.
