Why skimp use the original.

I like this charger over one for another camera as it shows how charged the battery is at any time, instead of just charged or not charged. Works great!

I have two of these chargers. One for my run bag and one for home. It has never given me a problem and has had years of use. The design is very good. The plug folds out from the back and tucks away for storage. The led lights blink to confirm the amount of charge and then go green when fully charged.This is a great charger.

I have been trying to use a brand X battery recharger and it just could not keep up the charge. My new Canon recharger is doing great.

Recently, while on a gig no less, my equipment was stolen. Bit by bit I'm trying to gather back everything I lost, but I don't have the budget to recover absolutely everything.Needing the basics back first, I took to looking for deals and ended up with a knock-off charger that didn't work. Had to go through the rigmarole of sending it back, postponing scheduled shoot dates, waiting to get reimbursed, and then finally ordering a proper charger here.Skip to the end, every other piece I've been collecting back and have yet to collect will be from B&H. This charger is exactly like the one that was stolen, charges batteries up quickly, and is reliable.Sidenote: Some people complain about the plug being right on the charger, and how that sometimes keeps one from plugging it into troublesome outlets, but that's an easy fix by packing a household extension cord in your camera bag.

Nothing really to review except the price is a rip off from Canon. Left my Charger in Italy and had no choice but to buy a replacement. It charges my batteries, wow!

Over the years I've tried a few times to save a few bucks on equipment and I've almost always regretted it. Batteries and chargers are products that have lots of cheap competition. The cheap ones don't last as long, if they work properly at all. They lose their charge sooner, and/or the plastic housings crack at the slightest provication. The wiring also seems to be lower quality and may develope shorts. Genuine Canon products are built to last and do a consistantly great job. That's why they cost more. The Canon LC-E6 battery charger seems to go on forever. I like that I can fold the electrical prongs inside, then stuff it in my camera bag when I travel. And the Canon battery is one tough son of a gun. Spend the money. You won't miss it and you'll have a whole lot less aggravation in your life.
