The Atlas Sound TSD-ZDC 4x4 Impedance Divider/Combiner is a universal impedance divider/combiner for passively summing or splitting mic or line level signals. Features include four balanced 10K and four balanced 150Ω inputs and outputs that may be passively split or combined in any arrangement.

Typical applications for the TSD-ZDC include passive summation of multiple 150Ω mics or stereo 10K sources and passive splitting of 150Ω or 10K input sources to multiple outputs. To ease contractor use and installation the TSD-ZDC includes individual ground connectors for each input/output. The unit's compact footprint allows standalone mounting or an optional rack mount adapter may be used to facilitate up to 4 TSD devices.

Q: 1. anyone tried to hook this up with new iPad Pro? usb-c to usb-b 2.0?

A: You will need to use the Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/897273-REG/Apple_md821zm_a_LIGHTNING_TO_USB_CAMERA.html

Q: 2. There is another version of ART Spliter: ART ProSplit with one input and two outputs. Does ART SPLITCom do whatever ART ProSplit do? ART ProSplit costs more than ART SPLITCom, though.

A: The units I bought are can be used either as a splitter (two outputs for one input) or a combiner (two inputs merged into one output).

Q: 3. How do you monitor levels or change settings without a display?

A: This interface is specifically designed for use with a DAW. There are manual knobs and LED indicators to indicate clipping and usable/normal levels.

Q: 4. Can I power this using an external power supply, so that I can avoid using batteries?

A: Yes, in addition to operating with two AA batteries for power, the Zoom U-44 Portable 4x4 USB Handy Audio/MIDI Interface can be powered via USB bus power or by using a USB battery pack or with a 5V USB wall plug like you would use to charge a smartphone or tablet, and USB cable connected to the micro-USB port on the U-44.

Q: 5. Does this come with the EXH-6 attachment? The description is confusing. It says 4 inputs but the base unit only has 2, but allows for the EXH-6 attachment to get 4.

A: The U-44 does not include the attachment for the extra two microphone channels. I have not purchased that to try yet, but the connector on the bottom of the unit works with the microphone that comes with the H6. I think those are the same type of Zoom microphone connector standard.

Q: 6. Does this record to SD as well?

A: No. This is strictly an interface to your computer or iOS device.

Q: 7. what purpose is the power input and power output?

A: The PA411 not only distributes the RF from the antenna but also power to additional PSM transmitters. It will cut down on the amount of power suppiles needed in the rack.

Q: 8. Does anyone know whether or not this will work with current Silicon macs? I have the Mac Studio M2 Max.

A: Yes, it is compatible with Silicon Chip Macs.

Q: 9. Can this be used to split one phantom-powered mic into 2 tracks on an audio recorder for a low safety track?

A: Yes, you can use the ART SPLITCom Pro Microphone Splitter/Combiner to split the power on a phantom powered mic.

Q: 10. How to connect to laptop for USB power?

A: I am not aware of an option to provide this with USB power. This comes with a power supply for use with wall plugin power only.

Bought one two years ago, it went bad, this is my second one. Works great for DSLR audio.

I am using this cable to connect my Canon HV20 to my new Audio-Technica AT8035 Shotgun microphone and it is excellent. There no noticeable hum or noise of any kind. The audio comes through clear as opposed to just connecting the mic to a normal 3.5 mm to XLR adapter, where there would be noticeable humming sound. Wonderful device that will save a lot of headache!

I bought this item for use with a Sennheiser ME-66 short Mic, and a Sony PCM-D50, so I am not a professional by any stretch of the imagination, however I am into field recording and I do care about the quality of sound I can get within the constraints of my small budget. For me this has been a process of elimination, buying gear and realizing that its not going to make the grade and selling it or exchanging it along the way. This cable was one of those purchases as I needed a simple cable to go from the Mic to the recorder or an XLR to mini-jack, and and BH search came up with a few products and this was for about twenty bucks. It does exactly what I was looking for, and more then I was expecting as I had initially purchased it with an eye to finding out more about what it was I needed to get a mono mic to relay through both headphone channels for monitoring purposes, anyway this thing does that, and it cost me a whopping break-the-bank ...

I did a lot of research before buying this mic; i was trying to find the best microphone for my Canon hv40. I wanted to be able to attach it to the camera, and later, when need be, use it as a boom. So far, so good; this thing is worth the money. As of right now I'm connecting the microphone to my camera using a XLR to mini (it came with the package deal) and the sound is superb. PROS: good sound, easy to use, lightweight, sleek CONS: The only con I found so far is the handling noise. When I went to do voice over work I held the mic in my hand and recorded using my camera. Perhaps it is something well known that you shouldn't do... but I did not know. But there was a lot of noise from my hand on the mic. This wasn't a big deal, I just but the mic into the shock mount and didn't touch it...problem solved. Also, when it was attached to the camera and I was shooting a real scene, the shock mount didn't hold it in place as steady as I thought because there was more handling noise present. But now that I know these things, I think I can make the cons disappear... Even though I wrote a lot more on the cons (really only one thing though), I am still impressed with the microphone and I think I will learn to use it better. I still will rate it 5 out 5 stars because it gave me the sound I wanted!

I needed a quick and dirty way to inexpensively adapt an ELR microphone for my Canon GL2. The reviews for the LMT100 were very positive and I have to agree. Many have stated the connection felt loose, but I have not had this issue at all. All connections fit securely. This little adapter has been a life saver for my situation.

Are you destitutely poor? Need professional audio for your handheld camcorder? Buy this instead of an XLR adapter. Plugs directly into the microphone jack on your camcorder and the end of an XLR cable or a shotgun mic.

I was looking for a piece of equipment that would allow me to plug my XLR microphones into several recording devices that take the mini plug. I ordered this one to give it a try. I am so impressed with it, I am ordering another for backup/second uses. This will plug into my Canon Vixia camcorder giving me professional sound. It plugs into my Olympus WM300 digital voice recorder and allows me to use a pro mic, either my Shure SM58 or SM57, AND it plugs into what I originally bought it for, my Canon 5dMkII giving me professional audio on the HDSLR camera.
