Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any lock key for wide open aperture ring on the Novoflex lens adapter? is there any problem when both the aperture rings of the adapter and the Nikon D type lens are shifted to their own settings?

A: No, the Novoflex Nikon F Lens to Hasselblad X-Mount Camera Adapter, B&H # NOHAXNIK, does not have a lock feature. If you are using the Novoflex Nikon F Lens to Hasselblad X-Mount Camera Adapter on a lens that has its own aperture ring, you would have to choose to use one or the other; whichever ring you choose to use to set the aperture, you would set the other ring to the wide-open setting.

Q: 2. Can you specify the weight of the camera? How can I get it while I'm in India?

A: It is around 2.9lbs (1.32kg). We are shipping to India, so if you order online it'll give you the approximate shipping time which could be ~3-5 days.

Q: 3. Is the zoom (top right) button just for focusing?

A: The blue magnifying button on the back, top right of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR Kit with Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS USM AF Lens allows you to zoom in the image during playback mode to check details of the image. It lets you check if the image was properly focused when the photo was taken. Also lets you see if there is any blur due to camera shake or if the subject moved too quickly for the shutter speed that was used.

Q: 4. when i'm trying to mount nikon lens on X1Dii 50 C with this, camera is giving lens not detected error. Please help with setting?

A: There is no electronic communication between the camera and the lens when using this adapter, so you need to use the camera menu to switch to the electronic shutter, and use the built-in aperture ring on the adapter in order to control exposure.

Q: 5. why can i not take my Horseman 4x5 view camera and use the vcc camera mount and use it like the one your trying to sell here?

A: The Horseman VCC PRO View Camera Converter will not connect to a Horseman 4x5 view camera. It is specifically designed for use with DSLR cameras, and not for use with the 4x5 camera.

Q: 6. What lenses can be used with the VCC Pro?

A: The Horseman VCC PRO View Camera Converter for Nikon comes with a lens panel that can be use with various VCC Pro lenses. Otherwise, if you look under the accessory tab, there are options for adapters that would enable the use of different large and medium format mounts. http://bhpho.to/1zQC5rK

Q: 7. Can this camera take a 4x5 film back? Description says Digital and Analog

A: Yes, it can take a 4x5 film back.

Q: 8. My 907x50c+Novoflex+Leica1.4/35mm don't work. the display shows "no lens defected"! Is it fit for 907 x50c?

A: This is a fully manual adapter. It does not relay electronic communication between the camera and lens. There is no way for the camera to know what lens is being used. To take pictures you would need to turn "Electronic Shutter" On. This setting can be found in the Menu under "Shutter Function"

Q: 9. When using the the KIPON Lens Mount Adapter for Hasselblad V-Mount Lens to Hasselblad X-Mount Camera, What is the focal length factor and will allow for focus to infinity?

A: The crop factor would be 0.64X for the sensor on the Hasseblad X series cameras. The adapter will allow for focus to infinity.

Q: 10. If I use Nikon G lens with this adapter how do I know what aperture I am setting?

A: Unfortunately, as each lens has a different maximum aperture and aperture range, and as there are no markings on the Novoflex Nikon F Lens to Hasselblad X-Mount Camera Adapter, B&H # NOHAXNIK, there is no way to exactly calculate the aperture. As such, it is recommended to take a test photo at a particular aperture setting and review the result to see if you obtain the depth-of-field you desire in your image. There are markings showing the wide open aperture setting and the closed aperture setting so you will know the direction in which you are turning the aperture ring.

A real surprise packet photos taken so far on auto mode no real need to correct in Photoshop. The manual appears to be fairly easy to understand and I am looking forward to working my way through it. I originally bought this thinking if I like it would upgrade to a PL3 but am so pleased with this will probably add the other lens, flash and view finder. The minus, on/off button too close to shutter button and lcd monitor not clear enough but maybe that is adjustable

I bought this as a easy carry small camera so I wouldn't have to carry my Canon 7D with grip all the time. I also bought a Canon FD to 4/3 adapter, so I can use all my Canon FD lenses. This camera is so fun to use with the FD 50mm f/1.4 and FD 28mm f/2.8. The 14-42mm lens it came with is quite good as well. I recently used it on vacation to take both HD video and pictures, and it does a great job. I bought the Refurbed version, and it is as new.

I use this in my work as a newspaper journalist as well as casual shooting. Terrific, clear images and excellent low-light capability. Does have trouble auto-focusing in extreme low light but for me this has been in situations where I was testing the camera's capability, not when I actually expected to get a good shot. Would like to see Olympus add a connecting cord from lens cap to camera body...going to lose the cap somewhere without one.

Excellent go between camera. Has the feaures of a DSLR, with the size and convenience of a point and shoot. I own cameras in the other two classes as well. and I am very much loving this camera. I love the interchangable lenses and its compact size. Its battery life is average, and was a bit pricey, but all in all well worth it. I would highly recommend this camera for anyone from the hobbyist to the professional. Great little camera with big potential.

I use this camera as a entry into a higer level of photography. one of the best parts about this camera is that it takes great pics. but you don't have to look like every other person on the tour.not to mention the fact it took better pics. than my sons canon tsi. one drawback is being viewed as just a point and shooter. oh well. I am just a novice but with a discrete camera.

The beauty of the E-PL1 is that I can always take it with me. With the Lumix 20 1.7, it's a nearly ideal street camera, fast with High IQ. AF is adequate and the interface is fine unless you feel the need to fiddle with every setting for every shot. I would like to have the rear wheel like the E-P1, but with a bit of practice using the joypad works fine.

I'm really loving the camera. I've used bulkier DSLR's but wanted to go lighter and this fit the bill. I got the all black model which is truly a classic. I like that one can build up on it with various lenses and accessories. At first I had a slight learning curve with the menu's which took some getting use to. There were some area's where I wish it would be a smoother transition to override in certain modes. As far as optics, it's awesome. I still yet have to shoot more to give my total blessing, but so far I'm happy....metering right on, color, and auto focus is sweet. I'm using an 8gb class 10 which i bought with camera, very fast transfer rate. I have the 14-42mm. Overall I like the built, it's solid in the hand. And I've been very satisfied with the images I've been getting out of this camera. I'm not a filter guy, but the built in filters are really cool.

The perfect camera for those times you don't want to lug your full sized DSLR around. Or it would most certainly be an excellent image maker for a family or those that don't insist in the trappings and weight of a full sized DSLR. Overall image quality is quite comparable for prints easily up to 13x19. The real strength of this particular camera is it's ability to capture print and view worthy images right out of the camera without the need to post process. The colors, sharpness and contrast all leap from the image with no need to massage the file. It is super easy to setup and use right out of the box. Great for both the serious enthusiast to the soccer mom who wants great image quality beyond a point and shoot camera but doesn't want complexity. I feel Olympus really did their homework on satisfying a large demographic with a image making device that will surely satisfy all of it's users. Exposures are dead on, colors excite and the sharpness and overall quality of the image is outstanding. About the ONLY thing some may find less than wonderful is it can at times not be instant to focus lock. If you're trying to photography sports or fast moving children at times this may not be the best choice. The optional viewfinder (expensive) makes this camera an entirely different animal, but many won't wish to pony up for the price. Still it's a great package well worth consideration before you jump to a full sized DSLR.
