Q: 1. How high is the tortoise base and how high is the center pole? I ask him why I have a small car and if the C-Stands Avenger Turtle Base C-Stand (9.8 ', Black) fits since the maximum height is 300 cm. These Matthews are 320cm tall and I wanted to be sure that they too can collapse and fit in my car.

A: Tortoise base stands at 10 inches high and the the center column stands at 45 1/2 inches.

Q: 2. What do you mean by middle and tele zoom settings..because I have a 18-135 and a canon 60d ..

A: Hi.As you know, extensions tube are used to be able to focus closer than the minimum admited by the lens, at the cost of loosing the focus to infinite when the tube is in place. As well, as the lens goes further away from its natural position, there will be vigneting with wide angle lenses. This is to be noticed in not so wide angle lenses with full frame. That's why its use is not recommended for lenses wider than around 50 mm. On your Canon 60D probably you'll be able to go wider, but I don't know how much, as I only use full frame bodies.I hope this helps youJavier

Q: 3. Is there a black version of this stand?

A: Yes put a B in front of part number

Q: 4. Can I use this extension to mount a Canon ef-s lens on a FF (ef) body ie use it as a converter...and if yes, will it change focal length?

A: No it will not work as a converter. Unfortunately, you must buy a new lens if you have just recently changed camera bodies.

Q: 5. Does this extension tube work with the Sigma 50-100 canon fit?

A: I do not have that Sigma lens so I am not able to confirm that the Canon Extension tube will work.

Q: 6. Looking to use this with my 1dx mark ii on my 85mm 1.4 IS for doing closeup macro like shots for product videos instead of spending $750 on the 100mm macro lens for the moment (i'll eventually get it). Anyone else have sucess using it for anything similar?

A: Adding this extension tube between the 1dx2 and the 85mm 1.4 IS will change the magnification from 0.12 to 0.41. It will help you take photos of items such as a large flower, but a very small item like a diamond on a ring would need a higher magnification of 1x. If the products you are taking videos of are large enough such as a desert plate this extension tube will work for that.

Q: 7. Will this work with the ground plamp?

A: Yes, it is compatible.

Q: 8. I own a set of Matthew's C Stands #756140 which I bought over 10 years ago. These stands have a base with a quick release pin for the legs. Do these stands also have a quick release pin? If not, does Matthew's still make a model with a quick release pin?

A: No we no longer make that version we found the quick release less reliable than the spring load style.

Q: 9. can extension arm carry Siros 800 S ?

A: Yes via 5/8 receiver.

Q: 10. I use a 70-200 2.8 with a 2X iii to get close ups, would the 25ii be better or worse?

A: If you are doing macro shots, it could be very useful. I believe that you could combine it with the 2x for even closer shots, but am not sure... I have the 1.4x.
