Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter Nikon F, G/dx To Sony Fz Mount

$278.55 $445.68

The Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter Nikon F, G/DX to Sony FZ Mount allows you to use available lenses that feature a Nikon F or G/DX mount to fit on a camera body with a Sony FZ mount, such as the Sony PMW F3, F5, and F55. The adapter is for use with manual iris and focus lenses, as there is no electronic communication through the adapter, so you will have to manually control focus and iris. With available Nikon F lenses you set the iris on the lens, however when using G/DX lenses, you can directly control the lens iris from the adapter.

The adapter allows TTL (Through-The-Lens) metering, and when using a lens with the adapter, the camera body should be set to either manual exposure or aperture priority mode. This is a lens mount adapter designed to attach to the lens itself; it is not meant to permanently adapt the mount of the camera. The adapter mounts to the lens and is removable, so you can use one adapter on many different lenses. The adapter is precision made from brass with a stainless steel finish for a solid fit that ensures the correct flange focal distance is maintained, so your lens can reach infinity focus.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many stops will the aperture ring take the lens down to? I have the Fotodiox G lens F-mount lens to Canon EOS-mount adapter rings, (The ones you attach to the lens) the one with the blue slide tab. It only goes to maybe 5.6. Will this adapter take it even further? It's pictured with an aperture that goes from wide open to nearly completely closed. Will it take my lens down to 22? Or to at least 8 on my 50mm 1.8?

A: If you have a Canon camera, this Nikon adapter is not the one for your camera. I am very disappointed with this Nikon G Lens Adapter for my Sony a7s as it does not allow my Nikon lens to automatic focus. Focusing has to be done manually. My son has Canon lens and shoots with the adapter for Canon lens. That adapter lens allows automatic ficus.

Q: 2. Will this fit my Nikon d7500 camera?

A: Yes this adapter fits the Nikon D7500.

Q: 3. Will it work with A7R Mk2?

Q: 4. Does this adapter work with Nikon AIS manual focus lenses? Thanks.

A: Yes. The adapter is works with Nikon F-Mount lenses. Ais lenses are F-mount lenses.

Q: 5. Not sure how this adapter should work. I have minolta lenses that I'd like to use on my Nikon D300. The adapter fits the lense to the camera very tightly but I can't control the aperture from the camera body, my shots are blurred, out of focus and under-exposed. How should this work or is it something I'm not doing properly?

A: Automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other such functions will not be accessible while using this adapter. Stop-down mode will need to be used when attempting to use in-camera metering with a lens and this adapter because a lens used in that case will not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. You can shoot in manual mode or aperture priority mode.Focus will be manually from the lens and the f/stops can be change from the adapter. This image displays the functions of the adapter, http://bit.ly/1fmts94

A: We are sorry to say it cannot. This is an adapter for putting EF lenses on a Sony FZ Mount camera. There is no adapter that will allow you to put an EF lens on a PL mount camera.

Q: 8. Will it work with SONY PMW EX3?

A: Unfortunately it will not. The EX3 does not have an FZ Mount.

Q: 9. Can I use this adapter to mount a Canon 24 to 70mm L sense to my Black Magic URSA PL Camera?

Yeah this product has two option where i can choose if i want to hear the click of my aperture ring or not, and that's way awesome since i am a videographer and that i sometimes would love to choose the silent ring over the clicky one. i would change it to the click option when i use my camera to mainly take photos in family events. so that's like owning two adapters in one product. And yeah before i forget this, this adapter is smooth and firm in the side where it is attached to the camera body but not as great on the side where the sense is attached. however that is no big deal for me since it hold the camera and the lens together firmly.

Good product, performs as advertised. Purchased for use on e-mount Sony NEX-7 body with Nikon F mount lenses. One protruding tab did poke my finger, but a simple finger grip adjustment remedied that. (This might not be problem with other users.) I would recommend this product. Nicely finished and good construction. I expect it to be durable. Easy to use, even for minimally experienced user. Reasonably priced.

I got the Fotodiox Nikon-to-E-mount adapter to replace my $$adapter that I got from @. The reason I got Fotodiox adapter is because the old adapter has pretty bad light leak. This Fotodiox adapter has zero light leak and it fits well and tight with Nikon lens. I hightly recommend this adapter.

Over the years I have collected a lot of adapters to fit my lenses to multiple camera bodies. I own a novaflex, metabones and a couple other no name brands. With all of them, the biggest problem is play between the camera mount to the lens adapter and then the play between adapter to lens. The cheaper models have play between all connections and normally the more expensive models have little to no play at all. That is not the case with this adapter! FotodioX has released a more then capable adapter at a price that anyone can pick up. Forget spending $250+ on an adapter, those days are long gone. It feels just as rugged as a novaflex and has zero play between any connection. I have only used the adapter about 10 times, so maybe over a years worth of use the connections my loosen but at this price point you can buy 5 FotodioX's before one novaflex/metabone. Its a no brainer.. buy it now, thank me later.

I am delighted to be able to use some of my 'very much older' Nikon lenses (manual: micro-nikkor, etc.) and closeup PB-4 bellows that have been resting in my photo storage cabinet for years. They work perfectly with my Sony Alpha 6300.

Exactly what I needed for using Nikkor lens with my Sony a6400. I shoot manual focus a lot with the birds in flight. This adapter allows me to use better Nikkor lens that are available to me.

I have had the older version for a couple of years. Acquired another Nikon lens so i had to have another(i like each lens to have its own adapter). Make sure you set it to the smallest opening, other wise your f stop wont work on lens.
