Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this paper is good for pigment ink, the majority of this paper that I have come a crosse are for dye ink.

A: The Canon Photo Paper Pro Luster is both pigment and dye ink compatible.

Q: 2. Is this A2 size?

A: The Canon Photo Paper Pro Luster (17 x 22", 25 Sheets), B&H # CA6211B025, is not A2 size although it is close. Proper A2 size is 16.5'' x 23.4''.

Q: 3. Is this paper compatible with Canon PIXMA PRO-10?

A: Yes! but the 17x22 wont fit. the max you can print on the Pro-10 is 13"x19" follow the link: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/872388-REG/Canon_6211b005_LU_101_Photo_Paper_Pro.html

Q: 4. This might be a challenge! I use Capture One Pro with Canon's Pixma Pro-100. the Profiles are loaded in C1. When using LU-101, it gives me 2 profiles: "3 photo paper pro luster" and "1/2 photo paper pro luster". What the heck is the difference? The "3" versus the "1/2" has me flummoxed.

A: The difference is related to the quality that you selected in the driver. Lower numbers are higher quality. The idea is to match the quality you selected in the drive dialog with the appropriate profile.

Q: 5. Is this paper pre-scored and drilled?

A: No it is not. The paper is ideal for use in book and album creation thanks to its uniform grain direction.

Q: 6. Is there any difference in a quality of Photo Rag 308g vs 188g papers?

A: The image quality does not differ between the 2 papers. The only difference is the weight and thickness of the papers. So the visual interpretation may vary.

Q: 7. Can I get 12X18 photo paper?

A: I am pretty certain the standard sizes for photo paper are 13x19, 4x6, 8x10, 8.5x11. I imagine you would have to cut and inch off each side of 13x19 to get 12x18.

Q: 8. I have an Epson et8550 printer, is the resin/absorbing layer compatible?

A: Yes. The Hahnemuhle Photo Pearl 310 Paper is compatible with the Epson ET8550 printer.

Q: 9. I have a Canon Pixma Pro-100 and I have the canon 8.5x11 Luster paper for it. However I can't find the correct size for that kind of paper when I am choosing the print settings. Am I missing something or do I just have to do custom sizes for it?

A: I have the Canon Pro100...under print paper size is listed, Letter 8.5 X 11 22 X 28cm.

Q: 10. Where can I get a profile for this paper?

A: If you are using a Canon Printer there will be a profile in the Canon Print driver. If you are not using a Canon printer there is no profile published by Canon. You would select a Luster or Semi Gloss profile from Epson etc.

First time using Hahnemuhle paper and I’m not disappointed. I was told that this is the the most glossiest paper that Hahnemuhle makes, but I did think it would be more glossy. This is a thick paper and I had to hand feed it into my Canon Pro 300 photo printer and the results are outstanding, and I never use ICC profiles. Just a great professional paper.
