The Cavision 3x3 Matte Box Package includes a matte box with an 85mm rear lens opening, donut ring supporting 50mm-80mm diameter lenses, 15mm rod clamp for mounting on a rig, and top and side flags. The matte box features two filter stages, one fixed and one 270° rotating. The filter stages support 3 x 3" glass or resin filters with a max thickness of 4mm, sold separately. The flags conveniently fold in for transport and storage and are easily removable.

This entire setup weighs approximately 1 lb and is ideal for use with mobile DSLRs rigs. The frame is made of aluminum and the other components of lightweight ABS plastic.

Q: 2. May I use this matte box with the Zunow WCX-80 wide angle lens on a Sony FDR AX-100 camera with no vignetting? Thanks

A: This combination is unknown and the answer would only come from testing the components together. Having said that, we feel that the camera with its lens at the widest mm setting plus wearing the Zunow most likely will cause vignetting with the matte box. The vignetting should go away if you zoom in slightly.

Q: 3. Will this work on a 5D mark IV?

A: While this is designed for the 5D Mark III, the 5D Mark IV has a similar design including the same sized screen at 3.2 . We believe it should work with the 5D Mark IV as well.

Q: 4. Will this work okay with the Canon 5D Mark III?

A: It could work but not ideally since the 5D mark III has a 3.2 screen vs the 5D Mark II's 3 screen. You will experience some cut off. Another solution could be the Zacuto Z-Finder Pro 2.5x for 3.2 Screens and a kan Flyweight DSLR Offset Shoulder Rig Kit.

Q: 5. Is there a step down to 95mm thread available?

A: We would have to recommend not using this on a lens that is larger than it's rear opening. We feel that vignetting would be far too likely.

Q: 6. I want to purchase a mini matte box 3575. My lens diameter is 55mm. I want to know can I use my 55mm circular variable nd after putting the matte box?

A: This should work depending on the variable NDs filter thread. You should be able to attach the filter to the lens, then attach the 55mm - 95mm adapter ring to the filter.
