Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this AC power kit work with the new BMPCC 6K camera?

A: Yes, the Bescor PSA124BM AC Power Kit for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K would be compatible for use with the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K (Canon EF).

Q: 2. does this adapter mount on the camera? If so , how?

A: The power cable will connect to the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K, but not that the plate itself. The most common way to use such a plate would be through 15mm Rods. First you would need a system that gives you 15mm Rods, like the ikan Stratus Complete Cage for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, BH #IKSTRBMPCC4K. From there you'd need a Cheese Plate with 15mm connection to add this plate to the rig, BH #SHCP33. Cage with 15mm Rods - https://bhpho.to/2kF9s0g Cheese Plate - https://bhpho.to/2Umu5uJ

Q: 3. I have heard many answers to this question... does the grip use Canon L series batteries as the product description says, or sony camera batteries? I was watching a video on a NAB review (https://youtu.be/o02OU1lYWNs?t=724) sent with timestamp This man says that the grip uses sony batteries... just wanted to make sure before I make a mistake.

A: The Pocket camera grip uses L Series batteries which are generally a Sony product. Canon does not use these type of battery. Not to be confused wit LP which are used in some Canon cameras and inside the Pocket camera.

Q: 4. Can you hot swap the battery while recording?

A: No

Q: 5. can you power an external monitor with this as well as a bmpcc simultaneously?

A: No, it does not have a D tap or any other sort of DC out other than the plug for the Pocket Camera. Also, the power demands of the camera itself would make doing this impractical.

Q: 6. Does the grip include the batteries?

A: No it will not come with the battery. You can purchase the battery separately: https://bhpho.to/2jpuR8l

Q: 7. Hi, Does it work for the version bellow? a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/903394-REG/ikan_VK7i_SU_7_IPS_LCD.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/903394-REG/ikan_VK7i_SU_7_IPS_LCD.html/a

A: Yes, that plate will work with the ikan VK7i 7 HDMI Monitor with Sony BP-U Type Battery Plate. All the ikan plates are interchangeable with all the ikan monitors.

Q: 8. how heavy is this thing:

A: Its estimated weight without batteries is 12oz.

Q: 9. Can i use this for black magic micro cinema camera?

A: After looking at the measurements of the Micro vs the Pocket, the Micro should fit within the parameters of the cage. However, we are not able to test this so actual fitting may reveal incompatibilities such as screw misplacement.

Q: 10. Does this work with non-Anton Bauer batteries, such as the Core SWX HyperCore Slim 98?

A: Yes it will work with any industry standard 3-stud battery.
