The XIO 9030HDEMB-4AUD-1U SDI 4-Channel Analog Audio Embedder is for use in an XIO series rackmount frame, and will embed two stereo analog audio sources into a single SDI stream. It features two mirrored SDI outputs so that video with newly embedded audio may be delivered to two destinations without requiring a separate distribution amplifier. The SDI audio group and channels to which the audio is embedded to is user-defined, and may be set using DIP switches on the unit. The embedder supports 625i50, 525i60, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and 1080psf signals and features automatic input detection.

Note: This version is configured for the 1RU frame. There is another model available if you use the 3RU frame.

A: HD-SDI Digital HD was a step up in image quality over Component Analog HD. So in a critical analysis, yes, you will see a slight difference. But for casual use, there is no loss in quality to the degree that it would interfere with your use or enjoyment of your CRT display. After all, it was what we had for years and were quite happy with it.

A: This device will give you an analog composite or an RGB component output. We use this converter to feed the component input of our projector and it works great. If you only have a VGA input on your projector, you will need to convert the component signal to VGA before you can use it on your projector.

A: In a format of 59.94p, 1080p, the Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI to Analog will convert such a signal to an analog NTSC signal, which should then be accepted by an NTSC compatible analog DVR.
