The S81 LED II Mini LED Strobe Effect from American DJ is a small 1 lb special effects light for entertainment venues. It has a a variable speed potentiometer to regulate the strobe rate. Rated at 50,000 hours lamp life, the 21 white LEDs cover a wide 130 degree field and are especially effective with an optional fog machine.

Q: 8. What is the speed range on this light?

A: The manufacture does not rate the strobe speed. They have never measured the fastest speed. It can be controlled through DMX but that is more about slowing it down and having it strobe at specific intervals. This type of light is designed more for events and theater and the fastest speed it goes is not really a concern when used for those purposes.

Q: 9. As a blinder, 4 of these, how big of a crowd would it cover? 200, 300 people or more?

A: The Blizzard MAX L 3-In-1 Strobe, Blinder, Wash RGB LED Effect Fixture is not large or bright. The light is about 13.7 inches wide and the Photoectics are, 20.4 fc / 220 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m 5.9 fc / 64 Lux at 6.6' / 2 m You would need a lot more to light 200-300 people and really this is not a light to do that. Best is to come into chat and talk about the room you want to use this setup in.

A: Fog dispersion is affected by atmospheric conditions.

The only disappointing thing is that I can't upload a video to this review to show how amazing this light really is. The effect is breathtaking. I love it so much that I now own three of these lights. Seriously, just buy this light. You will not be disappointed. I actually place them on the floor and shine them on the ceiling. It blows people away how cool they look. 5

Plastic housing, and very simple, but do you need a small strobe for close ups, music videos, etc. Buy this and keep it in a catch-all, and have it ready if ever needed. 5

Great strobe. Extremely bright. Adjustment knob makes it easy to control the speed of the light. I'm using these as a deterrent to rodents in my motorhome and store building 5

This light looks great in person AND on camera!! Color tones look great on a background, floor, or on people. The 12W is more than enough for a dark room and looks great for videos (what I use it for). The power cord for the light is short, so prepare for proper extension cords of some kind. The light does not get hot, and the Bluetooth remote works great with it to control the color changes. It also comes with a lens of a different angle depending on how focussed youd like the light to be. The lens changes very easily. 5
