Q: 1. What's the difference between the Sirui E20 ball head and the K20 ball head?

A: The Sirui K-20 is very robust with a quick locking mechanism that makes this ball head mount easy to use as well as an orientation-memory locking dial. The Sirui K-20 has a load capacity of up to 55.1lbs so that it can be used with medium format lens and camera combinations, DSLR cameras as well as digital and conventional cameras. The Sirui E-20 (a kit ball head) has separate adjustment knobs for panning and main locking for control and flexibility, a bubble level for fast horizontal alignment and Sirui's locking mechanism can handle loads up to 26.5lb.Both have the Arca-compatible Sirui Quick Release plate which is very handy if you switch cameras often. Basically, the K-20 is just beefier - more robust ball head that will carry more weight.

Q: 2. I have a 3/8X16 female in camera will this tripod support it?

A: The TY-50E Quick Release Plate included with the E-20 Ball Head on the Sirui ET-2004 Aluminum Tripod uses the standard 1/4"-20 male tripod screw. If your camera has a 3/8"-16 female tripod socket, you would need a reducer bushing such as the Oben 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing, B&H # OB1039, or you can purchase an Arca-type quick release plate that includes a 3/8”-16 screw, such as the Acratech Arca-Type Universal Quick Release Plate (3/8"-16), B&H # ACQRPCT38, the Really Right Stuff B29 Multi-Use Fore-Aft Plate with 3/8"-16 Screw, B&H # REB29PLATE, or the Sirui TY-70A Quick Release Plate, B&H # SISUTY70A, for your usage needs.

Q: 3. Is the QR plate an Arca Swiss type?

A: Yes.

Q: 4. Will the arca swiss clamp fit the arca swill plate on my Tamron 150-600mm g2 lens?

A: Yes, the built in plate on the tripod collar would mount directly to the ball head.

Q: 5. I have this tripod and am looking to get into video. Can you recommend a fluid head to use as a replacement head?

A: This would be a good fluid head for a beginner: a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1273963-REG/manfrotto_mvh400ahus_befree_live_video.html target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1273963-REG/manfrotto_mvh400ahus_befree_live_video.html/a

Q: 6. Is 57 the maximum height with the center column extended?

A: Yes it is at least 57 I measure 59 with center column extended and legs set for normal use. SFK

Q: 7. 5 ANSWERSI intend to use this with a Nikon D750 with battery pack and Tamron 150-600mm G2 lens. Will it support the weight of this setup?

A: The load capacity will be sufficient for your gear.

Q: 8. I'm planning on using it with Gimbal head and D7200 with 150-600 mm Sigma Sport lens?

A: If your inquiry is may the Sirui ET-2004 Aluminum Tripod with E-20 Ball Head be used with a gimbal head and your Nikon D7200/Sigma 150-600mm lens combination, then the answer is yes. The combined weight of the Nikon D7200 DSLR camera and the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports Lens for Nikon is 7.79 lbs (3.53 kg), and the Sirui ET-2004 Aluminum Tripod with E-20 Ball Head has a maximum load capacity of 26.5 lb (12 kg).

Q: 9. Will a Manfrotto junior geared head fit on this tripod?

A: This tripod is one of the most versatile I have ever come across. I'm not personally familiar with the Manfrotto junior geared head, but assuming that the treads are either 1/4 or 3/8 this tripod will accommodate either one by flipping the collar just below where the ballhead attaches as you have both thread sizes available to use.

Q: 10. Is this tripod and head strong enough to effectively support a canon 5d Mk iii with a 70-300 L lens?

A: It depends. With the legs outstretched to the widest angle, it's fine with my Canon 5D and Canon 7D with a 100-400mm with and without a 1.4x extender. I use battery grips on both bodies. However, the tripod is wobbly and prone to falling over in the wind when the legs are set at the narrowest angle. I bought mine to use in a blind while shooting wildlife and sometimes use it for macro work. I backpack with mine and haul it around in panniers when cycling. The weight was fairly close to the carbon fiber model of similar design. The build quality is beyond comparison and very durable for a tripod in this price range. I own other tripods from Manfrotto and Gitzo but wanted another tripod to use exclusively in the field.
