A: I didn't notice any shift in color (though I did not run any tests to look for differences and I am not a professional). The quality of the picture seemed just as good as without the item. A: The area where the tablet lays on is really one big square. There are some bungie cords on the edges to hold down the bigger ipad, but you can just have the mini rest ontop of the teleprompter and it will be fine. As stated, it's just one big flat resting area for a tablet. You can thrown your phone up there if you want.
