A: The sideload system is really great, especially with a fully rigged up camera. The "Touch&o" system requires a propriety (and expensive) plate, so I don't recommend that. I presume you could easily use this with a VCT system, as there is a flat surface on the bottom of the bowl. That said, look into the "speed swap" system that could also attach to a VCT system. I need a VCT system for my shoulder rig, so this is important to me.

The aktiv10T has Sachtler's Touch & Go quick release system while the aktiv 10 has a Sideload quick release system.

I recently purchased a new lens for my Toyo View Camera that had a 49mm front thread. I have a collection of 52mm filters for B&W that I wanted to use with it, so this sweet little step-up ring saved me the trouble and money of buying another set of filters. 5

This step-up ring works well and permits purchasing one 77mm filter and using it on both a 60mm lens or smaller diameter lens with other step-down rings. You can also just use your 77 mm filter alone on a 77 mm lens. The cost of the step-up ring is far less than the cost of 77mm filters and provides more versatility. Be careful not to over-tighten the step-up ring. Avoid using graphite or other lubricants on the ring as you do not want the particles or lubricant to enter your lenses. Better to invest in a filter wrench. 5

I bought the Step down by mistake the first time. This enables me to use an 82mm ND filter on my smaller 77mm lens. Works great - smooth threading - great price. 5
