The TOA Electronics DP-SP3 2-In/6-Out Digital Speaker System Processor is a 1RU rackmountable signal processor designed for 3-way multi-amp systems in venues, banquet halls, houses of worships, restaurants, gymnasiums, and more. It features an equalizer, crossover, digital matrix, compressor, and delay. It also features an input pad, an analog output attenuator, an output mute control, front panel LED metering, 16 re-callable presets, an EQ characteristic library for optimization of TOA speakers, and contact input terminals. The unit includes a CAT5 connection for software control from a PC over a local area network.

The unit features 24-bit 96 kHz sampling resolution, 10 filters on each input, and 12 filters on each output for any combination of high/low shelving filters, all-pass, notch filters, CD horn equalizers, high/low pass filters, or parametric equalizer. It includes four contact input terminals for output volume control, output muting, and memory recall. The unit comes with a power cord, eight 3P removable terminal plugs, one 5P removable terminal plug, and a CD-ROM containing software for Windows.

A: The DP32SD allows you to record all 8 inputs at 48Khz, 24 bit.

Q: 2. I have the 8 channel individually when i connect the sd card to a computer?

A: The answer is yes .Of Course you have all the 8 recorded tracks showing individually on your sd card (after shutdown if you do that) even the deleted ones can be retrieved.May I suggest to you, that the best way is to use the USB cord, then go to your options and choose USB connection, that way you don't have to remove the card from the slot, because Tascam as a serious warning, does not recommend to use the recorder without a card inside! So be sure the recorder is completely shutdown before attempting to access the card thru another machine or computer because your card is already formatted for the DP32-SD, so caution should be used before doing this. Q: 3. Can you load files from a DP-01 to the DP-32SD?

A: Probably. You can export tracks on the DP-01 as wave files, putting them in the wave folder, then import the wav files in to the DP-32SD using the Audio depot folder.

Q: 7. Does it come with a memory card?

A: Yes a memory card is included, but it is only 2MB ( about 5 minutes of 8 tracks). Fortunately SD cards are very affordable - I suggest getting one with a rating of 10 inside a circle on it!

Q: 9. Can you adjust the pitch while recording? I want to record a melody on one track, raise its pitch to record a harmony that is too low for me on another track, then lower the pitch on both tracks to the original key.

A: You can't pitch shift on the device itself. However, you could export the tracks to a computer, open the files up in audacity or some DAW and pitch shift it there. You could then import the tracks back in and continue tracking/mixing. That's the only way I can think of that might work while still mostly using the Portastudio.
