The E-Image Quick Release Tripod Adapter is compatible with cameras that accept a VCT-14 quick release tripod adapter, and is for use with Sony HDC, BVP and DXC series cameras, HDW, MSW, DVW, DNW, and DSR series camcorders, and Panasonic professional camcorders. It features an integrated safety release, lessening the chance of accidental camera separation from tripod. It features seven 3/8"-16, and five 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes for attaching the QR plate to a tripod.

A: It's universal to the tripods that I have ever used (Bogen, Satchler) - it is however specific to the video camera that has the baseplate with that configuration. It's been a few years but I think this adaptor is for a Sony camera. So if you know that your camera locks in to this adaptor, then the tripod shouldn't matter - the adaptor attaches to the tripod with one or two bolts.

Q: 4. Can this be used with the C300 Mark II?

A: It really has nothing to do with the camera so much as it has to do with what tripod you have and what baseplate you have for your camera rig. The VCT quick release plate will work with about any tripod head, but you'd have to get a VCT mount to attach to your base plate. That being said, if that's all stuff that fits into your rig - it works great.

A: The Sony FS7 has a standard threading underneath it to connect to a tripod's quick release plate. As the FS7 ships it is not compatible with this VCT-14 Type adapter nor is it necessary to use. However we do have a number of Baseplate Products designed for the FS7. If you used such products from Shape, Tilta or Vocas to give your FS7 a nicer shoulder mount and 15mm rod support you would then need this VCT-14 Adapter to connect it to a tripod.

A: i agree with all the responses. Also the underneath of the base plate is various size screw holes in a line which should cover most tripods that have a quick release. i found this product to be very high quality and durable

A: You mount this plate to the tripod (with a plate that fits your particular head) and the camera slides on and locks. Then you flip the side lever, slide the camera off, and place it on your shoulder. It is not used at the same time as the shoulder mount. I use it with the Zacuto VCT Universal baseplate. Have also used it on URSA, but haven't tried it on the mini.
