This is a very solid tripod. The legs will adjust outward to 3 different levels to provide differing levels of balance/support, it is nice and tall as well. It is heavily built and the quality is nice. I like the padding on the upper end of the support legs. I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade from a lighter weight tripod.

We use it to film hunts. Very sturdy and well built. Adjust really easy. Attached a Manfrotto Fluid Head to it with no issues. Would definitely purchase again.

I use this tripod in corporate video production. It is very steady and well balanced due to it being rather heavy. Also, it works extremely well with fluid heads for movement because its weight. I would recommend this for any videographer or photographer, unless you plan on doing a lot of changes scenes. Get ready for a workout if that is the case.

Great Heavy duty tripod for spotting and Gunning. I mounted my lighter rifle 8lbs and it worked great in a few positions I tried. Can’t wait to try heavy rifle 23lbs. I don’t think there will be a problem. Would recommend.

The ONLY thing about this tripod I didn't like was the locking ring to raise and lower the center post. Personal preference, I would have preferred a butterfly knob on the side. But it is effective. The pros: Unlike the Manfrotto, the locking levers on this can be set. i.e. You want leg position #1? Push the lock all the way in. When you open the legs it stops at position #1. If you're like me and use position #2 a lot, leave the lock at the second notch. You can fold up the legs, move to your next spot, and unfold them and they lock in the 2nd position, no no fumbling with the lock. It's a small thing, but I set up/take down/set up so much that it made a big difference in my sanity. Very sturdy, and that's with 17 pounds on it.

I wanted a solid tripod that didn't break the bank and this is it. While some complain about the weight, it is no secret and should be attributed to the buyer's choice and not fault the tripod. I attached my favorite ball head and now have a great combination.

I use my tripod for spotting long range shots and also as a support for shooting. This tripod is sturdy, smooth and easily handles my 16 pound rifle, as well as my support arm leaning on it. It is very stable in the wind as well. Heavier than some, but for my applications that is a plus. I looked at MANY tripods before buying this and this is hands down the best value going. SLIK could easily charge another 75 to 100 dollars for this and it would still be a good value. The fact it can get so low to the ground is another plus. The head attaches via a screw that has 2 sizes and needed to be switched for the head I purchased but that took all of 2 minutes. We'll have to see about durability, but it sure seems solid.Very pleased.
