Expanding on their line of panels, the Plus Series LED500 Daylight LED Light Panel from Dracast adds a digital display for adjusting output as well as Cat 5 DMX input and output for linking and comes with both Gold mount and V-mount battery plates. The light features 512 LEDs with a high CRI of 95 for excellent color accuracy. Also, this model has a daylight-balanced color temperature of 5600K for matching with natural light and other fixtures.

The lights offer a spot beam angle of 45°, as well as dimming from 0-100%. Benefiting operation, it can run from either a DC source, such as a Gold mount or V-mount battery, or a universal 100-240 VAC adapter. Q: 1. Whats the difference between v-mount and gold mount?

A: V-mount and Gold mount are two different battery mounting options. V-mounts have a v shaped notched they attach with, and gold mount have three circle shaped prongs that they attach with. The batteries themselves are similar, but how they mount to equipment is the difference. Beyond lights, cameras and other equipment may also offer one of these two mounting options. So you want to pick the mounting option that best fits the type of batteries you already have, or plan to use across multiple devices.

Q: 2. Hi, when AC powered or for charging batteries, does it accept 220V ?

A: The LED lights come with a multi-voltage AC adapter which is 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.The kit does not come with batteries but most battery chargers these days are also multi-voltage.

Q: 3. I just noticed on your site, that its listed as brighter with more lux in the same distance. 7362 lux @ 3.0' (0.9 m) vs 9570 lux @ 3.0' (0.9 m). Shown on your boltray-plus-600.pdf file. Which one is actually correct? Also some of the lux readings may not be matching the correct distance. For example - 850 lux @ 6' when its also showing 1350 lux @ 9' ? I don't think light gets brighter the farther away it is.

A: Several of these lights can be connected to any DMX controller and you would get 512 channels to choose from in one universe of DMX.

Q: 7. I just received my unit and noticed it will not work with only 1 battery, does work with 2, is this normal, I have a Dracast panel with 2 np-f plate that works with 1 battery.?

Q: 9. Would it be possible to power the light from a V-mount battery via a regulated 7.2v D-tap to NPF style adapter?

A: Ray -- If there is such an adapter, which can connect to a single NPF connection, and you can then plug in a V-mount battery, then it MIGHT work. However, it also may not work, and because we do not have such an adapter and have not tested such an adapter, we cannot recommend that you try it.
