Q: 1. Does B&H have the adaptor for Manfrotto Alu stands to be used with American threaded microphone clips? I have seen these used many times with microphones or stereo bars attached to them. Would like to be able to use them with microphones and stereo pair for recording orchestras.

A: There are two options. This one fits direct on the stand, http://bhpho.to/19dnfim.And the other option which is stronger will take two adapters this http://bhpho.to/1GGUlm9 and http://bhpho.to/1Cdz0kG.

Q: 2. For photos, is this blackout free like the A9?

A: Hi, the blackout free in live view is not supported.

Q: 3. Looking to get some height for recording soccer games. Would this stand work (I know it's a light stand) with the Bescor MP-101 pan/tilt and a sony AX53 camcorder attached? It would be under the weight load. Not a pro videographer just a dad looking to get a higher vantage point for the soccer games.

A: You can use it , it will be wobbly

Q: 4. Does it comes with a battery charger? It doesn't mention it, just curious.

A: Hello, it doesn't come with a battery charger, but the battery can be charged in camera with the supplied USB cable

Q: 5. What strap is recommended to use to clip into the loops on the stand to make for easier carrying?

A: Generally if carrying a set of 3 of these stands, using a bag is better. One such bag is the Manfrotto LBAG110 Quick Stack Light Stand Bag, (Large), B&H # MALBAG110. https://bhpho.to/2YltfEr

Q: 6. What is the packing size for this product? I am trying to order a case in preparation for buying one and am looking for length, width and depth. The Specs say 2 measurements for length... Minimum Height 48.8 Closed Length 42 Which one is correct for packing/ transporting?

A: The closed length would be the correct measurement when determining the correct type of case for these stands. For reference, Manfrotto LBAG110 Quick Stack Light Stand Bag, (Large) B&H # MALBAG110 is the dedicated case for these stands. Please see the image below.

Q: 7. What are the full dimensions of these stands when they are folded up and connected to one another?

A: The 3 stands fit perfectly in the Manfrotto LBag110; the dimensions of the bag are: 43.31 x 7.87 (110 x 20cm) (LxD). If you get the stands, definitely get the bag too. Excellent quality & a perfect fit!

Q: 8. Is this the same sensor as the Sony RX100VII or ?!

A: While we are not aware of it being the exact same model of sensor it offers a 20.1MP 1" Exmor RS BSI CMOS Sensor just like the RX100 VII.

Q: 9. Does this come with a bag?

A: No, you have to buy the bag separate

Q: 10. Is this strong enough to support the Aperture 300d MkII with light dome mkII?

This stand is sturdy, easy to use, and twelve feet tall. It is rated at 9 kg, and I intend to use it with my ARRI 650 Plus Fresnel lamp that weighs only 3.2 kg, so the combination is safe in my studio. I don't need to fold it, but if I did, the Manfrotto stand folds flat for easy toting and storage. This is a great light stand in all respects.

I like how these stack together for transport. It saves a lot of space that they fold totally flat and connect to each other. A high-quality stand.

Why would you pay potentially twice as much for this air-cushioned light stand? That's a question I asked myself as I compared my available options. I have never been a brand loyalist, per se, and so I was very curious to find the range of prices and options that existed when it comes to air-cushioned light stands. Even among those with similar load capacities and with similar maximum heights, the price variability can be upwards of 100%!!

After trying and returning some of those less expensive options, I decided to pull the plug and purchased a couple of these stands. For my needs (wedding and event videography) these things are perfect. Not only are they air-cushioned, have a high payload capacity, and a max height of 12', these stands just feel solid. It's hard to explain, but despite not having an overwhelming weight to them, these stands almost feel like they are manufactured with thicker tubes? Regardless of whether or not that's true, these are extremely well-manufactured, well-designed pieces of gear that I expect to last for quite some time. Oh, and I didn't even mention the locking feature. While the locking tabs that allow these stands to stack neatly together may ultimately be their achilles heel, if you are cautious and take care of your gear, even those tabs won't just break off without a good bit of force.

Ever since I can recall Manfrotto has always been on another level when it comes to the quality. I bought a cheaper brand Heavy Duty stand and returned it after the air-cushion lowering feature gave out after a few days. So far I have used 2x 200 Pros on the Dual Power Twin Head with a 42inch Beauty Dish and the GODOX DP800III with a Glow EZ Lock ARC Curved Strip (16 x 60) Softbox on the stand and it's been great! The Godox is a chonker but the stand is very solid so it works like a charm. I also found that wrapping a 10lb ankle weight around the base has worked wonders as well if you are looking at ways to weigh it down.

Great stand -- I'm using it for holding an iPhone up high for slide line sports, in this case pool side water polo matches.

Solid design. A little heavy as a bundle of three but they stay well connected that makes them easier to handle. The carry bag (as an extra purchase) makes it very easy to transport as a unit. Easy to setup and solid support for lights

I bought this to use as a microphone stand, and it works quite well for that. It's really reasonably priced and extends even higher than I needed. The air-cushioning mechanism is lovely, and when fully extended, the tripod-like legs feel secure. I definitely am not complaining, given how reasonable the cost is.

The stacking ability alone is a reason to purchase these stands.
