A: This does incorporate a Variable ND filter. There have been no reports of a color cast or a reduction in sharpness when using the built-in Variable ND filter. Unfortunately this is not available as an adapter without the Variable ND filter. This does accept 37mm filters. It should work with 37mm filters of standard thickness.

Q: 4. How's the ND filter quality compared to VND like B+W? Color tint, vignetting, resolution reduction?

A: The B&W will be a better choice, much less color tint, less resolution reduction, and vignetting on both filters is very minimal.

A: Yes you will need the 77mm adaptor. You will need an adaptor sized to each different lens size in your bag. Watch out for the wide angle vs standard as well. Wide angle adaptors allow the filter to sit closer to the camera to avoid blocking view.

I have machined my own aluminium adaptor Ring with an outside diameter of 101mm; which slides into the filter holder; securing it. A: The Lee Big stopper is not 4mm. It is 2mm thick.
