Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it transfer audio file to my phone via Bluetooth? If not, does it allow my phone to play back audio file stored in the TASCAM X8?

A: No. The Tascam AK-BT1 allows you to remotely control your Portacapture X6/X8 Recorder.

Q: 2. Product title says it is for DR-100MKII but MFR# says it is MKIII. So which one is true? I would like to purchase the case that was designed specifically for my recorder...

A: The Porta Brace custom carry case # AR-DR100MKIII is designed specifically for the Tascam DR-100MK3. Should you require the case for the DR-100MK2, please search AR-DR100MKII. I am sorry for the confusion and will have our web team correct the headliner.

Q: 3. The audio levels are coming in way too low when I use the RodeLink Wireless Filmmaker Kit with the 70D. I've set the gain as high as it will go. Is there another setting that I'm missing?

A: Assuming that when you say you have set the gain as high as it will go (Basic menu/Gain HI+Plus), and turned up the channel volume, the only thing left is to make sure the output on the wireless is at max gain. I have noticed that the 70D doesn't have an abundance of gain. Depending on the output of the particular device, it could run low. It may require normalizing or boosting in software once imported.

Q: 4. To be sure, this can record from cd to sd card, sd card to sd card, and SD card to cd?

A: The Tascam SS-CDR250N Two-Channel Networking CD and Media Recorder has the ability to record to SD Cards, USB Flash Drives, and CD-R/CD-RW discs. These media options cannot be chosen as source options however - only destinations. Input sources for recording to these media options would be external and connect to the SS-CDR250N via its back panel.

Q: 5. How does one adjust record level from analog inputs? Many Thanks

A: The recording levels from the analog input signal on the TASCAM SS-CDR250N Two-Channel Networking CD and Media Recorder can be adjusted by using the internal menus.
