My previous surge protector had all the plugs facing the same way - which meant that, even though it looked like it should have held 6 plugs, it didn't, because my chunky plugs couldn't fit. So this lay-out is great. The chunky ones go on the side that fits 3 plugs, and my narrower plugs fit on the other side. Plus this has space for USB charging. Perfect. 5

Do you need a surge protector? Probably not. But if you are looking for a well-made power strip with plenty of outlets this is a great choice. 5
