A: As per the manufacturer the StoreJet 35T3 is pre formatted to the FAT32 file system, it can be recognized on most types of computers, game consoles and media playback devices. However, the FAT32 file system does not support large files that exceed 4GB in size, or partition sizes above 2TB. If you plan to store large files that are larger than 4GB, you will need to convert the drive to a different file system such as NTFS. Additionally if you would like to use the entire capacity of the drive in a single partition, you would need to repartition the drive, and format with exFAT, NTFS, or Mac HFS+.

Simple to install - just plug it in and the drive shows up on my folder directory. It delivers over 200 MB/sec transfer rates on my Windows 10 i7 desktop. I'm using it for offloading large data files from my active computer drives to to minimize the nightly backup. This is my third WD Elements hard drive, and they have always been reliable. 5

I use at least 3 backups, as do many photographers and the space adds up, so i needed to buy high capacity disks. The price was reasonable and WD is a reliable maker. Was able to load about 12 GB of files overnight -- pretty impressive. 5

Great backup drive since it doesn't require fast speeds. This drive is slow but background backups don't need to be quick. The first backup, depending on the size to backup, will take many hours but incremental backups will go unnoticed. 5
