The white Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity and LEMO 3-Pin Connector for Wisycom Transmitters is a subminiature lav microphone designed to deliver clear, full-bodied sound and reliable performance, making it a popular choice among industry professionals in broadcast, TV, theater, film, videography, and more.

Engineered to meet the standards of modern digital wireless microphone systems, the COS-11D is RF shielded to eliminate interference issues and ensure a pristine audio signal. The microphone capsule features a rectangular design that sits vertically, increasing the surface area and allowing this tiny mic to offer a rich, full sound that outperforms many larger models.

The mic's 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response rolls-off extreme low end and provides accurate, transparent audio reproduction with a small presence boost in the 6 kHz area for crisp, intelligible speech. With a forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound in a 360° pattern, levels stay consistent, even when the subject turns away from the mic.

A water-resistant mesh screen protects against humidity, perspiration, makeup, bad weather, and other potential on-location issues, while the durable cable is also moisture-resistant and built to stay soft and pliable, even after extended use. This version of the COS-11D terminates in a 3-pin LEMO connector and is wired for use with Wisycom transmitters. A metal windscreen, holder clip, rubber mount, and plastic case are included.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If the battery last for say 7 hours of filming, could you have both transmitters charged and then when one dies, basically have the other transmitter ready? I'm asking because say you are doing a long day of interviews or events and I'm only working with one person at a time, it seems like a great idea if this could as you use one unit at a time.

A: Yes. That is a good idea .Pairing is very quick too.

Q: 2. What's the impedance on the headphone connector?

A: This headset connection on this mic would be best used with a headphone around 32 ohms.

Q: 3. Have they addressed the interference and noise issues with Sony and other cameras through firmware?

A: Hello Tyler, That's a problem Sony has to address, as it caused by the camera's input not being shielded well enough to block RF.

Q: 4. Can the Rode Wireless GO II be used for calls and Facetime?

A: Yes, the Rode Wireless GO II mic system can be used for calls and Facetime with devices that work with the apps and an external microphone.

Q: 5. Hi, I just ordered this mic a couple weeks ago. So far it has not shown to turn on or record any audio, nor did I receive an instruction manual with it. I have plugged it into my canon 5d mark III and also a Zoom H5 recorder, and both have giving me no sound from the mic and some plug in noise. No levels are shown to record. I have not been able to find any troubleshooting pieces on line. Can you help me?

A: This microphone requires power you need to send it 48V

Q: 6. I want to connect this to my Canon EOS R5 while recording video. Can the audio be recorded into the video from these mics? Or will I have to overlay the audio onto the video later because the video will pick up the audio from the camera? I'm looking to "mic up" athletes in a sporting event while recording from the sideline.

A: Yes, you can use the Rode Wireless GO mic system to record audio directly into the camera. You can also record audio on the transmitters at the same time and then have the audio that is recorded on the transmitters as a backup track.

Q: 7. What is the maximum amount of systems that can be used in close proximity to one another? ie. Could we use FOUR 2-ch systems to capture 8 talent lavs simultaneously? Is there a limit to how many channels the 2.4gHz can use at once?

A: The max Systems per Setup recommended is up to 4 dual channel systems, so you can have up to 8 people recording simultaneously.

Q: 8. Is it possible to connect multiple receivers to the same transmitters (ie. using this system to hop an audio mix to multiple cameras)?

A: This is not a suggested usage of this digital wireless system.

Q: 9. Does this has extreme wether proof design and RF rejection like NTG3 and Senn MKH416?

A: The Sanken is fairly robust in adverse weather, but it is not weather-proofed. Its directionality is comparable depending on the environment.

Q: 10. Can you use two of these units in the same room to provide 4 lav mics?

A: Yes, two units (4 mics) in the same room will work.
